A very warm welcome to Almondsbury CE Primary School website. Please do take the time to look through all of the information and children's work that is on the site. It shows you how well the children are learning and being taught. We are very proud of our school and enjoy celebrating our successes.
At Almondsbury, we are 'Creating our Pathways' underpinned by the biblical verse "Show me your way, Lord teach me your paths" (Psalms 25:4). We are creating pathways for each individual's future. Our values enable the whole school community to explore lifelong learning journeys; a strong Christian ethos, pastoral care and excellent teaching and learning strengthening the foundation of these journeys.

Services
We are a one and a half form entry primary school in a semi-rural location in South Gloucestershire. We have two Reception classes and then three classes within Key Stage 1 and six classes within Key Stage 2. The children come from Almondsbury and the surrounding areas. We are a happy school with lots of energy, enthusiasm and high expectations for all pupils and staff.
Worship at Almondsbury is a vital and integral part of our school day and Christian distinctiveness. We are lucky to welcome Rev Rowe from St Mary's Church to lead our worship every Monday. We also light our focus candle and say our liturgy at the start of worship - 'Peace be with you' with the response of 'And also with you'.
We would like to introduce ourselves and explain how we work together with Paul Smith, our Headteacher and his staff to provide the best possible all-round education for our children. As governors we are accountable to parents/carers and the wider community and therefore we are committed to providing you with information on the performance and management of the school.
We have Healthy School status and were awarded a plaque and certificate. We consider this to be of great importance for today's lifestyle. We offer the 2 hours of PE we are required to and have gained Active mark for all our efforts in PE and healthy lifestyles work and learning for the past 3 years.
Performance Tables: The performance tables are published by the Department for Education on an annual basis. The show how well the school is doing year on year against the national expectations.
