The partnership also includes the NEXUS Teaching Schools Alliance led by Mangotsfield Primary School, with the 10 other NEXUS schools named as 'Strategic Partner schools'. To share practice and innovation across schools to provide high quality development opportunities for all. To help and support all schools within the partnership, and beyond, on their journeys of continuous improvement.
We warmly encourage any parent interested in a school place to make an appointment to visit. For new Reception places we have organised Open Day Visits in the Autumn terms prior to the child starting school. If you would like a school place for your child to start in our Reception classes then you must apply to South Gloucestershire Council.
The Pupil Premium [PP] is additional monies given to schools to support pupils who are considered disadvantaged. The chosen measure for this is the entitlement of Free School Meals within the past 6 years. Our current funding is 114,940 in total. The funding per child is 1300, 1900 [for PP Plus pupils] and 300 [Children in Service].
We receive Pupil Premium funding to make sure that those children who are eligible for Free School Meals achieve at least as well as all other children. Details of how we use the Pupil Premium to help children can be found here. All children who apply to Staple Hill are admitted without prejudice and in accordance with LA admissions for providing placements for children with SEND.
