We had a gift voucher for a afternoon tea and bubbles for two, we had contacted the hotel ahead of time to ask if we could add/buy some additional bits for our children. On the day they had exchanged the bubbles (Champagne) for another set of sandwiches and cakes at no extra charge. A very thoughtful gesture.

It was nice to explore the rooms in the house some really nice antiques, staircases and modern artwork. The house is only 5 mins walk from Faringdon which has some lovely old buildings , plenty of walks around the house and dog friendly.
We walked up to the folly through a gate in back garden and the view is fantastic. Worth doing.

Room was large and clean, but like other reviews on here, limited water pressure for the shower, and quite expensive in the restaurant. But as we had a Travelzoo deal, not too worrying.
Buffet breakfast in the morning was lovely, and relaxed, free to walk around the grounds which were great.
No shampoo in the bathroom nor any shower gel, but Body lotion provided?
Few things to get the restaurant and staff up to scratch, but overall a decent stay for the money.

Room good comfortable excellent bath not so good shower no pressure
Restaurant very disappointing to say the least the choice is limited and very mediocre and worse as we stayed two nights with exactly the same limited choice on the menu nothing to get excited about basically a decent pub menu
Breakfast very average
Restaurant two stars and I don’t mean AA rosette or Michelin
Best of all you get a service charge added for doing the job you’d expect in a restaurant that boasts as much as this in its literature
Definitely won’t return

Stayed at Sudbury house hotel for our wedding and used their private dining room for the evening. We were welcomed by a lovely lady at reception who showed us to our suite. The suite is a beautiful space, very tastefully decorated and felt very private.
We managed to take some photos in their beautiful gardens. We then made our way to dinner and were looked after by a gentleman called Andy who was just a lovely person. He made us feel welcome and nothing was too much. The food was very delicious and everyone enjoyed it. The hotel itself is beautiful but the cleanliness of the hotel is not great

I would say this was satisfactory, the photos were very flattering, so I expected things to be better. Reception factual but customer service and welcome slightly lacking. The grounds ok, car park had quite a bit of litter, the room was fine, and bathroom lovely. The breakfast good and the service here was excellent, friendly and efficient.
