Just a stones throw from the brewery in Blandford Forum, The Crown is reportedly the oldest inn in Dorset and has been a residence since the 10th Century. The Inn joined the Hall and Woodhouse family in 1931 and in 2017 the company spent over 3 million on refurbishing the bedrooms, bar and dining room, resurrecting the beautiful Georgian Coaching Inn to its former splendour.
With 27 well-appointed bedrooms, some with Georgian theming, a beautiful outside patio, a separate dining room and further pantry and common room seating areas, the inn is very much the focal point of the town. Indeed the separate Sealy Suite offers a private function room ideal for weddings, celebrations, functions and events.

We've been working hard over the past few months to make sure all of our delicious food dishes are just that little bit better. As well as our usual favourites like Steak & Tangle Foot Pie, Hand-Battered Fish & Chips and our famous H&W Burger, we've also got a range of tasty sandwiches and of course our delicious Sunday Roasts, which we think are the best (apart from Mum's!).
We've sorted an amazing range of drinks for you to enjoy either with a meal or simply on their own. Our very own range of Badger Beers are only sold in Hall & Woodhouse pubs, so we can guarantee the very best quality cask and bottled ales brewed right in the heart of the Dorset countryside.
Alongside our beers we also have a great selection of lagers and ciders, together with an extensive wine list, with wines from all around the World, an ever increasing range of cocktails and Champagnes by the glass and a good choice of spirits, particularly local and regional gins and malt whiskys.

We have 2 car parks free for guest and residents, one at the front of the property and the other at the rear.

Welcoming Buck fizz on entry - very lucky to get 2 tables together ( Thank you Mr Hult ) close to Kitchen and Disco - where we were sat it was not very warm - however- waiters/waitresses were very quickly attentive-
to our particular orders - Unfortunately it seemed that our party was last in line for - our orders arriving at the tables - without being descriptive- the meals were very much enjoyed by all- - after the meal - the disco plugged in and it was great to see everyone

Easy to find with large car parks. Welcoming staff with Covid precautions. Receptionist was exceedingly helpful as I had forgotten my phone charger. Room was clean and everything worked well. The restaurant was great. Relaxed dining and the food was super (whitebait, steak and cheese). The hostess Kate was attentive and one of the most inspirational persons I have met Never used the bar so can't comment on that. Breakfast was great as well.
