We chanced upon this establishment while pausing during a rather stressful detour of the A1 due to traffic. Duns is a very pleasent market town with the White Swan tucked off the main square.
We were really looking for a biggish mid-day snack and a drink but the menu proved too tempting. The main bar is full of character but due to covid restrictions we had to use the dining area which is pleasant but functional. However, the staff were lovely and very welcoming.
But the star of this stop was the food! The Haggis bon bons with a peppercorn sauce were wonderful, erasing all memories of roadworks
