Stopped here for some food on the way home expecting nothing more than a run of the mill pub grub. This meal was no basic pub meal! I could not have been happier with the food. It was so tempting to not lick the plate after the gooey breaded brie and cranberry. Following that with vegetable curry was heavenly. I cannot praise this place anymore! My mam decided to try out seabass for the first time and was in awe at how delicious her meal was. Ditto with my dad and his home style lasange! The staff are delightful and friendly, the decor is so homely and by God the food! Absolute heaven. Don't even

Loved it here. We were stopping in the castle more or less behind the hotel, we went looking for a coffee shop that would let us take the dogs in. Nope n the end we ended up coming here three times and even having food on our final visit . I think what sold it for us, above the dogs being allowed in, was the prices. It was by far the best value place in the area. 4 coffee and a cake for a ‘tenner’, can’t really go wrong .
