Take your time to look around our school website. You will find both information about our school and extra curricular activities, alongside copies of important documents and other information you or your child may need throughout the school year. Our values and ethos are directly underpinned by our commitment to being a Rights Respecting School.

The Rights Respecting ethos enables children to grow-up being the best person that they can possibly be while respecting the rights of themselves and others. Rights are taught explicitly through assemblies and lessons; implicitly through modelling and are displayed in every aspect of school life. Article 29 (goals of education) - Education must develop every child's personality, talents and abilities to the full.
Services
Every maintained school must publish specific information on its website to comply with The School Information (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2012. Details shown are available from other sections of the school website but have been collated here for ease of reference and to support pre-inspection preparation by Ofsted.
I am really pleased to welcome you to Viking Primary School website - thank you for visiting! We hope our website gives you a flavour of our school but to get a real sense of the community feeling within our school, we encourage you to come and visit! Please ring or email the office to make an appointment so we can make sure someone is there to answer your questions and show you around.
Share your views through Parent View. Parents and carers can give their views of our school at any time of the school year and at the time of a school inspection using an online questionnaire called Parent View. When our school is notified of its next Ofsted inspection, parents will be invited to give their views about the school to inspectors using the Parent View online facility as this has replaced Ofsted's paper questionnaire.
Viking's pupils make good academic progress and achieve well compared to their starting points. We aim for as many pupils as possible to meet age-related expectations based on the National Curriculum by the end of each year group. Many pupils will meet these expectations during the school year and will start to apply their learning in different ways to work at greater depth.
The Governors and staff of Viking Primary School are committed to the principle and practice of equality of opportunity. We have an inclusive ethos which means all staff, pupils and parents work together to ensure that everyone, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability or social background can thrive.
