You are now able to book a table in the garden, but you will need to book ahead as these tables are in high demand. Please make sure however you make your booking that you specify you would like to sit outside and we will do our best to accommodate you. With its oak beams, low ceilings and open fireplaces, the Inn on the Pond is truly the quintessential country pub.
Built in 1650, it's a place to savour real ales, great food - and the sublime summer sound of leather on willow from the village cricket ground outside. The setting here is picture-perfect. Situated in the quaint Surrey hamlet of Nutfield, the Grade-II listed pub affords fantastic views over the marshes, while the spacious garden allows diners a seat right at the water's edge.

Services
Directions by car: From Redhill, follow the A25 east until you reach Nutfield Village. Drive through the village, then turn left into Church Hill as you come out of the village (there is a flooring shop on the corner of the road) just before a hand car-wash company. Follow the road for about a mile, and the Inn on the Pond is on the left down a side road.
Renowned as a dining destination, the Inn on the Pond serves a diverse and delicious menu - home-made and using locally-sourced ingredients - which includes traditional pub classics alongside creative, elegant chef's specials. There's fresh fish and grill dishes for dinner, plus gourmet burgers and old favourites such as steak pie and hand-battered cod and chips.

I took my son out today for his birthday to this pub ‘Inn The Pond’, for a nice evening meal. Service was great but the food was absolutely RUBBISH and pricey. I wouldn’t mind paying for an expensive meal if the food was half decent. It seems like the food was cooked from frozen.
The steak was over cooked and I had venison pie and meat was was so dry, my jaws were hurting, and I disliked the frozen foods that was heated up.
NEVER eat here again that for sure. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Nice, friendly, family pub with dogs welcome... would never have known it was there until I found it on Google search (it's quite hidden too).
Great variety of food, lots of different tastes catered for. When one of the waitresses came to take our order she asked if either of us were vegan, vegetarian or had any food allergies which I'd not experienced quite like that before. I thought it was a nice touch. The food was so tasty - we had a ploughman's, served with a warm baguette.
Nice areas outside to sit if you wish too... but also a nice space to take the dog for a walk or quick runabout afterwards

Ignore any older bad reviews... Must've been different management / chef. This pub is 10/10 in every way: Staff very nice, historical/pretty building dating to 1650s, Food is just excellent, portions enormous, Beer is good (and they don't offer endless citrusy poncy IPAs - just classic bitter kept well), the walks behind the pub are equally excellent.. I could go on.

My first visit here despite living around the area all my life. We both had a roast, it was fab, really good portions & the meat was cooked to perfection (beef and lamb served pink but that’s how we like it). Service was great & all staff really friendly. Unfortunately no room for dessert but means we will have to revisit. Highly recommend.

Quintessentially English country pub overlooking a cricket pitch 🏏 quiet and out the way, but easy to find and busy with good atmosphere and plenty of parking. Service was slow, but no complaints as you can only book tables for 2 hours max and that is plenty of time to leisurely relax and wait for drinks and food. 3 cheese Plowmans and Double Burger were both excellent (v.gd Stilton). Reasonably priced for quality and size of food portions. We will definitely be heading back.
