The Rose & Crown Hotel

I love The Rose & Crown its my favourite pub in Clitheroe but until today had never eaten there, as they had no vegan options on the menu. However they have added vegan options including on their festive menu so went for Sunday lunch with my husband. This is a family run establishment and you always get a warm welcome, its a friendly place. We had a table in the window and ordered off the festive menu, parsnip and carrot soup, sweet potato, spinach and butterbean stew. The food was very tasty, hearty and satisfying and great value for money. We were too full for dessert even though vegan Christmas

Strange place really a mix between a pub and a social club. The food was more pricy than some places, but looked amazing. We didn't eat, but several others looked very satisfied.

Friendly staff, strongbow on draft , sunny beer garden and handy for the shops , my wife left me here with the dogs while she went shopping perfect afternoon 😊

Solid down to earth pub, good ales friendly efficient staff, yet to eat there but will report back when do.
Ate there Saturday lunchtime, loved it. Real excellently, cooked vegetables, tasty burgers, home made coleslaw, good portions, very reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone.

This was Sue and my our third stay in Clitheroe at the Rose and Crown and the reasons were evident the minute we walked in and were greeted by Michelle, Lee and her family.
The hotel may not be luxurious but it is clean and functional, well sited (has carparking), sensibly priced and the warmth of welcome and attention to delivering quality service is what makes it stand out for us.
The food is excellent and we were even treated to our favourite music (Wishbone Ash) on the sound system. Great attention to detail!

I was in Clitheroe for a working weekend on a Small Holding. Ann welcomed me and made me feel at home straight away.
Ann was there in the mornings, at lunchtime, and at night. She is amazing! Hard working and attentive.
The hotel is extremely clean and everything you need for a stopover.
Food is also top notch.
I'll be back in October for another weekend of farming duties 😃
