In the midst of omicron COVID rapidly spreading, I would have expected the staff throughout to be wearing masks. Although the pizza we had was good we were placed in a room where people were watching the football. It was also uncomfortable because we were sat at a table which was high and required high seats. As older people I don't think this was very comfortable. I would have understood being in this room if we hadn't booked.

We booked three rooms. None were very clean. Our daughter’s room had big cobwebs and ours had black mould in the bathroom. The rooms outdated and dark. Not well maintained - tiles falling off in the bathroom, edge of bathroom door detached, shower head didn’t fit the wall rail holder making a shower difficult. Lack of curtains in one of the rooms. The sign says 4 star, online it’s 3 star but in reality it’s well below this standard. We won’t mention breakfast. Don’t bother. The staff are lovely and the bed was comfortable but we were all glad to leave.

Hotel bright and welcoming,our room was spotless rather small but adequate for two nights, but importantly very warm.No hot breakfast on our first day had to to to a cafe couple miles away,don't think manager or receptionist were to bothered had prepacked rolls etc,if required for £6or £7 didn't look appealing.
Overall lovely stay nice seating area outside, would recommend.
