We are a warm, welcoming and inclusive nursery with a focus on individuality, a place that feels happy, informal and homely. This is somewhere that you and your child will be known well. This is in keeping with our ethos as higher wages across the board supports staff well-being and aids staff retention.
Our staff levels exceed the Ofsted minimum levels by at least one extra staff member in each room. We have a Manager, Billie, and two Deputy managers, Catherine and Jo and our pre-school room is led by Katie, an Early Years Professional (EYP). All staff receive continuous professional development (CPD) training throughout their time at Minihome.

We believe that a child learns best and most deeply, by direct experience of the interactions with people around them; the routines, activities, situations, environments and objects, all the stuff of life.
Your child's key worker will establish a secure relationship with your child so that they can take full advantage of the diverse provision at minihome, learning by watching how people behave, by what is valued and by direct involvement with the prepared environment.Your keyworker will visit you and your child at home in the first week of settling in, so that your child can see them welcomed into your home.

The 3 Prime areas of learning for babies as outlined in the EYFS are Communication and Language Development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development and Physical Development, they are all met in a cross curricular way. We also provide activities in support of the 4 specific areas of learning; Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design, as they become age and stage appropriate for each baby.
Food is prepared from scratch on the premises from fresh ingredients. The emphasis is on healthy vegetarian food plus some fish, incorporating multicultural provision and special diets. We use organic dairy products, fruit and vegetables as available. In baby room, in addition to milk feeds, which can be formula or breast milk as you wish, weaning is undertaken in partnership with parents.

Amazing nursery. We visited all of them in the area and this one is THE BEST. Our two children both went there for three years each, and they now, two years on, they still talk about it with such love. The staff there are so loving and supportive. The food they serve is excellent and healthy and cooked from fresh ingredients every day. They offer the kids yoga, and language classes, ballet and music enrichment classes. Our son loves yoga now. 100% recommend Minihome.
