The creator of The Little Bears Nursery has been a qualified teacher since 2011 and has specialised in the Early Years. The vision behind The Little Bears has developed from her own experience teaching in EYFS and seeing children come to school not properly equipped for their new journey. Starting school can be a daunting experience if children are not ready for the pace of school life.
Our passion is to ensure that when children leave The Little Bears they will be confident and prepared for their next chapter. We seek to provide children with opportunities to explore, play and take risks. We encourage individuality and children to express themselves. Children learn best when they are happy and healthy.

Services
At The Little Bears Nursery, we strive to create a "Family Feel" atmosphere. Children learn best when they are happy and healthy, and we aim to ensure while in our care, your child will be in a safe, stimulating and engaging environment. We aim to provide opportunities for children to use their imagination to create their own learning experiences as well as involving children in structured adult-led tasks teaching them the vital skills they need.
I qualified as a teacher in 2011 and from there specialised in the EYFS. I wanted to create my own nursery setting where I could lead by example in getting children 'school ready'. I believe that preparing children for school is something that needs to be embedded from a young age with emphasis placed on the 3 prime areas of learning.
At The Little Bears Nursery we have a nursery SENCO. Every child in the setting is allocated a key worker. The key workers work closely with every child and their family. They complete regular observations which are used to inform planning around a child's individual needs and interests. Partnership with parents is central to our ethos at Little Bears, we value parent communication highly.
What makes us different from other nurseries is our huge Learning Hub and private hall for activities. At The Little Bears Nursery we encourage children of all ages to interact with each other in our open plan style learning hub, creating role models within the older children. This amazing area is where your children will spend lots of their time enjoying the huge range of activities and learning opportunities this space offers.

Totally impressed with the care provided by the staff and the manager at the Little Bears Nursery! Lovely ladies. I had my son with them and I have nothing to reproach! The hygienic standards are as high as the care provided. All the staff is welcoming and focused on the well being and development of children. I do recommend this nursery and it definitely deserves more than 5 stars. Thank you very much! x

I don’t usually review places however I read reviews when making decisions and know how important it is, the nursery is lovely! My son has settled here so well the teachers attention to the kids in the morning Is essential in my opinion as to how the kids feel welcome, their activities are thought through, I can not fault this nursery...Absolutely amazing

I could not recommend this nursery enough. It’s just so amazing In many many ways. The manager Clare is by far the most caring happy loving person I have meet. All the staff are so caring and friendly with… every child and parent that walks through the door. I can’t thank you all enough for everything you do with Charlotte and the memories we will all cherish. 🐻❤️ x

We have just been going through Florence’s leaving goody bag! We feel overwhelmed and so lucky to of found Little Bears 🐻 Florence has come along so far since attending not only have we seen her flourish but… she loves going, always talks about her days there and loves all of the staff! we feel so fortunate to of found you! Thank you for all your hard work in preparing Florence for school, the constant updates and photos throughout the day ☺️ and for making Florence (and us) feel part of the little bears family! The girls can’t wait to start Breakfast club
