St. Aidan's Church of England Primary School is a small primary school for boys and girls aged four to eleven years. It is situated in Bamber Bridge on the outskirts of Preston. The school has approximately 134 pupils on roll. At St. Aidan's we endeavour to provide children with an education that allows and encourages them to achieve their true potential.
We provide an atmosphere in which children feel happy, valued, safe and secure. Each child is treated as an individual and skills and talents are recognised. High standards of behaviour and manners are encouraged throughout the school in order to prepare children to take their place in an ever- changing society.

Services
At St. Aidan's Primary School we shape our history curriculum to ensure it is fully inclusive to every child. Our aims are to fulfil the requirements of the National Curriculum for History; providing a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum that encompasses the British Values throughout; ensuring the progressive development of historical concepts, knowledge and skills; and for the children to study life in the past.
Within the reception year we work on the Early Years curriculum following Development Matters. Our curriculum is play based around topic areas. In the morning we do focused group activities based around English and Maths. Our continuous provision facilitates all our learning in all areas of the Early Years curriculum.
We are a year 1 class who love to learn new and exciting things. We like to learn things in different ways to keep us motivated and engaged. We are a friendly class who show kindness and we value thankfulness. We are learning to be mathematicians, writers, readers, scientists, designers, artists, historians and geographers - what a busy life!
Mrs Gant, Mr Bester and Mrs Whittle want to send a warm welcome to all our little Butterflies as they begin the last leg of their infant journey. This year we want to work hard but have lots of fun along the way. Throughout the year our little Butterflies will spread their wings and fly, ready to become a junior.
I am very excited to be in the class that kick starts the children's journey through juniors. We are a friendly class who thrive on positive praise and encouragement. We support each other through our learning and always push to succeed. Spelling sheets will be given out on a Wednesday. These are to be completed at home and do not need to be returned to school.
