Services
At Moor Nook Primary School our intention is to provide quality teaching and learning of history. Our history curriculum has been designed using the statutory requirements from the National Curriculum. It has been designed to meet the needs of the pupils here at Moor Nook; our overall aim is to build a history curriculum that will inspire and develop a curiosity to learn about the past and from the past.
Moor Nook Community Primary School in Preston. Moor Nook has 195 pupils on roll and a 26 place Nursery. It is an oversubscribed school, which is very popular in the local area. At Moor Nook we have seven classes taught by experienced, dedicated staff whose priority is to develop the skills of all the pupils and make learning enjoyable.
Your child will be able to get free school meals if they are in Reception class, Year 1 or Year 2. The school receives additional funding for all children that are eligible for free school meals but they must also be registered for the school to receive the additional funding available. At Moor Nook Community Primary School, we value Art and provide children with an engaging, challenging and well-rounded Art curriculum that inspires creativity for life. We believe all children are entitled to an excellent and rigorous art education. By exploring a range of artists and techniques, we enable children to experiment, develop and extend skills and express their interests, thoughts and ideas.
At Moor Nook Primary School, we aim to prepare our learners for their future by giving them the opportunities to gain knowledge and develop skills that will equip them for an ever changing digital world. Knowledge and understanding of ICT is of increasing importance for children's future both at home and for employment.
