Central to our school ethos is love and respect for God, each other and all of creation and we value the positive partnerships with the Church, families, governors and the wider community. We love each other because we believe that each person, from youngest to oldest, is unique and created in God's image and likeness (Genesis 1.26).
In 2019, we achieved the gold award for our commitment to the development of competition across school and into the community. The International School Award recognises good practice around international work in schools. We have been awarded the Active Mark and Sports Mark awards for promoting sports activities throughout school.
When you arrive at school, you will queue outside the school gate. We ask that you follow the social distancing guidelines at all times. This will be marked on the fence and floor. When you get to the front of the queue, your child will be called into school. Please note that parents/carers of Class 1 children will not be allowed into the classroom to assist their child in removing their coat.
Greatham Church of England Primary School's Eco Team work tirelessly across school to ensure our school and local community get involved with exciting environmental projects. Ecology Club is run by Mrs Sotheran and supported by Mrs Watson. We meet weekly. We work on a range of topics from our 9 subjects.
Greatham School encourages that school uniform should be worn and discourages casual clothes and shoes. It is felt that this helps children to foster a feeling of pride in their school. After consultation between home and school, parents and governors agreed upon the school uniform. Sweatshirts, polo shirts and t-shirts embroidered with the school badge can be ordered from school.
