Services
Golden Flatts Primary School and Lynnfield Primary School have a strong commitment to partnership working. The two schools share a Federated Governing Body. Mrs S. Sharpe works as the Executive Headteacher across the federation and has headship responsibilities in both schools. At Golden Flatts she is supported by Mrs Newbury who is the Head of School.
The PE and Sport Premium provides ring fenced money to primary school Headteachers to improve the quality of the PE and sport activities they offer their pupils. The funding is currently worth 150 million per year and is provided jointly by the Department for Education, the Department of Health and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
Our ethos is to ensure our school is a welcoming place where everyone is valued and works in partnership, sharing high expectations and taking collective responsibility for the needs of our pupils. Through this ethos we will meet the diverse needs of our community in a sensitive, caring and respectful manner, providing a safe and stimulating environment where friendship, trust and understanding are nurtured.
The school door is open each morning for pupils to come into their classroom from 8:45am. The door will be closed at 8:55am and the register taken is the classroom in preparation for the first lesson to start promptly at 9:00am. Any pupils arriving between 8:55am and 9:30am should access the school via the main entrance.
At Golden Flatts Primary School we endeavour to support all pupils in making better than expected progressing order to raise confidence and promote self-esteem. We see effective assessment as central to this. This includes: marking work and feedback, observations and group work, formal summative assessments (Including National Tests) and on-going assessment for learning.
