Very nice hotel. Good location, beautiful views from the dining room. Easy walk into the town of Richmond or the Park. I had booked a single room (it was all that was available on Booking.com) and feel there were plenty of other rooms available. My mistake! Excellent breakfast and service. Will definitely stay again.

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at the Petersham.
Terence the Events Manager helped us with the planning and preparation for our big day at the Petersham. He was very accommodating and was always an email away if we had any questions. We’d like to thank him for everything, it was everything we wished for and more. We had the most amazing evening, we’d do it all over again in a heartbeat.
DJ Tony was fantastic, he followed the genre of music that was on our list and had everyone up on the dance floor! He made our night!

Awful for 5star hotel.
Expense and a joke.
Rang for weeks to get booking for a birthday treat for a friend.
Only a third full the whole time no staff.
Started came with lovely bread and totally frozen butter.
Sent it back asking to be warmed up.
Never saw it again
My roast lamb was a chop and no roast potato's.
Told Lamb did not come with potato's.
I said since when in England.
Checked menu which said Lamb and roast potato's.
My friends Roast Beef was piece of meat not roast.
Do not know what.
Called waiter over and he apologised and they did handle complaint well.
Free dessert coffee

I booked an afternoon tea at the Petersham hotel on a Saturday. I was able to call and let them know in advance that it would be vegetarian, and no eggs. They were very adjusting. We arrived late but they were very accomodating, and we had a most wonderful table right next to the window with a lovely view with lots of greenery, as it is situated on a hill. The afternoon tea was delightful - sandwiches were delicious, the scones scrumptious and the cakes divine. In fact, it was actually too filling, so we had to ask for a take away box for most of the cakes, which they were very happy to provide

The best hotel in Richmond by some way! Stayed here for a long weekend with my girlfriend and we both loved it. If you can afford to pay a little extra, I'd very much recommend the rooms with river views. Waking up to lovely green fields, cows grazing and the sun rising over the Thames really is something special.
The staff were all incredible, the food was good, and the rooms were stunning. It's also surprisingly reasonably priced, with rooms from less than £100/night.

A good place to stay in Richmond, with a few caveats. You’ll either love or hate the old school English country house vibe - I kinda like it. Make sure to tell them your car registration number as soon as you arrive, or you’ll get an automatic parking fine. Rooms are small but well equipped, with nice marble bathrooms and many with oversize tubs. The big negative for me is that bedrooms have no air conditioning - which seems strange for a 4 star hotel in the 21st century. The staff were all friendly and helpful and rooms at the front have fantastic views over the Thames.

What a beautiful, clean, comfortable & well located hotel. Been meaning to stay here for years and finally got round to a 3 night mini break. Totally beyond our expectations, excellent staff, spotlessly clean, everything in working order & fantastic food. Will definitely return to this one as hotel is one of the best & location perfect in every way.
