Loved this place! Beautiful surroundings and everything was new, clean and well designed in the room. Very quiet rooms with separate entrances and river views.

I tried to book and it's full of illegal immigrants . Apparently its child friendly too. I don't think so.

Hard bed never slept most of night, breakfast was only just warm. Not worth the money.

Tidy enough rooms, although quite dated. Poor service at Bar and Restaurant so decided to eat and drink at other establishments nearby. Was suitable accommodation for a night or two in order to visit some nearby attractions.

Didn't sleep well as they located me next to the running stream... hence why it's called the watermill. At least give me a room away from the noise and better double glazing. In desperate need of a refurb and that hairdryer must be the oldest in the UK. Breakfast was nice. Staff polite and welcoming.

Room was nice a good size and warm, the bed was comfy and the breakfast was good, but there were problems.
1. The bedroom windows were so poorly fitted you could hear every car that drove past (the noise level was the same when the window was open)
2. The room wasn't all that clean, there were cobwebs and spiders everywhere, and the toilet seat was quite stained.
3. All the members of staff spoke really quietly and we couldn't hear what they were saying half the time (and it didn't seem like they were listening most of the time)

Rooms are standard and clean. Room was really warm because the towel rail in the bathroom is on constantly. We were given a room with one big bed when we asked for a family room with 2 children. They did offer another room but the room with the big bed was actually better. They didn't have a cot, just as well we brought the travel cot. Oh, they put us on the 1st floor, with no lifts for the buggies it was a pain. Breakfast was good though, buffet style with good choice.

I found that the price of £70 is not value for money. Setting of the hotel is beautiful but it needs updating in certain areas. We have a disabled mother and the hotel has not made any provision for wheel chair access. Not child friendly either as no play area for them. These are very important issues as a wedding venue. 👎👎

The Watermill is franchised to use the Best Western company name. For a budget hotel there is little to complain about that you would otherwise expect. The bathroom suite is probably due for upgrading - no power shower (only the type direct from tap link). The radiator in the room was faulty - this was reported and soon addressed. The corporate facilities are fair, and tea and coffee is supplied throughout the day for such events. Sleep quality not excellent, however being here during a particularly bad storm there is no surprise to the fact I could hear the wind and rain thrashing everything outside
