Services
Craigadam is as convenient and central as it is a tranquil and relaxing place to stay for touring in South West Scotland. Just a few minutes from the main Carlisle to Stranraer road (A75) we offer traditional Scottish farmhouse hospitality, extended and made superbly comfortable into a quiet country haven and warm welcome for bed and breakfast guests.
Craigadam self-catering cottage has three twin bedrooms, all en-suite, individually decorated to a theme - African, Florentine, and Scottish. The cottage has a comfortable sitting/dining room with French windows and a lovely view of the orchard. Craigadam cottage makes for a perfect, romantic location for honeymoons, celebrations and family breaks alike.
The Scotsman Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868-1928) was one of the greatest designers of Art Nouveau. The Glasgow School's style affected furniture and buildings as much as art, so deserves to be remembered. We hope you enjoy your stay here and will visit nearby Kirkcudbright, home of James Hornel and the other 'Glasgow Boys'.
The delicacy and sensitivity of Chinese art belies a culture as famous for fighting as for its cuisine and administrative skills. We hope that the most world-weary will find the calm of the Buddha and forget city stresses in the near-religious veneration of the hills. Hello Celia, thank you, and your team, for a fabulous break.
The Creole bedroom brings to mind the Mardi Gras and thoughts of jazz, but above all the calm welcome New Orleans has traditionally offered. From the window, the view of the courtyard can recall the tropics on a fine day, offering a gentle respite from the pressures of the world.
We arrived after coming down from the highlands to be met by Richard, and shown to a sumptuous HUGE bedroom with wonderful canopied bed, and a room the size of a dance hall with amazing decor.Seeing the rest of the farmhouse with dining room, sitting room, snooker room was fantastic. Great selection of drinks in the honesty bar, and the breakfast was.huge!

Just had the most wonderful holiday at Craigadam, the hosts did everything possible to make the stay perfect.
Craigadam is a working farm and the Hotel side of the business melts seamlessly into the mix. If you opt for the evening meal you are in for a real treat, the food is fresh, local and expertly cooked.
I am already planning a return visit.

I first came to Craigadam on a driven shooting visit in 2003. I have returned more than 25 times for shooting since then, introducing over a dozen family and friends to Celia and Richard and the very attentive staff working there. You could say I enjoy it. There are fancier places but no better food anywhere.
I find everything extremely comfortable with the folks there willing to do anything they can to make our visits comfortable.
To me, as you can tell, it’s become a second home...at age 87, I’m always grateful to be able to return...next autumn is already booked.

We had our wedding here and Celia went above and beyond to make that day perfect for us. We were greeted by Conor who took us round the hotel grounds and gave us options on where we can have our wedding as we wanted outdoors. Very friendly and also helped us a lot. From the first time we spoke to Celia, she was very helpful and kind. The gardens were beautiful and our pictures turned out amazing. Just wanted to thank everyone who helped us in making this day special. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who just wants a weekend away.
