We believe as a Church of England school, in Jesus' promise of life in all its fullness. We are all created in the image of God and so we respect the inherent worth of every child. It is our duty and privilege to provide the best possible education for all our children.

We promote an inclusive, nurturing culture based on our Christian values, which fosters hope and aspiration, values each individual (pupil and teacher) and supports their emotional well being. We ensure that each child has a voice and is treated with dignity and respect. We want every child to enjoy their time at St James Primary School, flourishing and excelling whilst they are with us.
Services
At St James Primary, our Christian values of KINDNESS, RESPECT, WISDOM and JOY are at the core of all we do. They also help to drive our ethos and behaviour guidelines in school so that our children know that they should be ready, safe and respectful.

We promote these and our 'British Values' through our spiritual, moral, social and cultural education which permeates through the schools' curriculum and supports the development of the 'whole child'.Our staff provide a model of behaviour for our pupils and our standards of work and behaviour are high.
If you are apply under our church criteria you need to download our Supplementary form here and return it directly to us at school. Please note we have recently changed our Admissions policy so that if the school is oversubscribed, places will be allocated equally between children from a Christian background (faith-based admission) and children who live closest to the school (community-based admission.
Due to a number of families moving out of the area we currently have some chance in-year vacancies. We would normally welcome the opportunity to give you a tour of the school to show you our school but unfortunately Open Days and tours are not available at present. To speak to someone about an in year place please call us on 0208 883 6540 or email us at office@stjamesprimaryschool.co.uk.
Beginning school is a major event in the life of a four year old and it won't be long before your child is starting with us at St James Primary School. There will be lots of new things for them to learn and experience and lots of new friends to make. If you have any questions or need any help at all, please do not hesitate to contact us in the Office on 0208 883 6540.
At St James Primary, the health, safety and welfare of our children are of paramount importance to us. We respect our pupils and want to provide them with a stimulating and safe environment that encourages them to do their best. The term 'safeguarding' encompasses the whole range of issues. It starts with our values that we instill in our children from their first day at St James Primary.
