Little did we know that the financial crisis was just around the corner. We fell on some very hard times over the next few years and we had to do everything we could to survive, but survive we did. The work started to come back and we have grown year on year ever since. So much so that in 2012 we moved into bigger premises, over double the size of our previous factory.
Whether you are a fully skilled CNC programmer, undergraduate or school leaver, if you are interested in a career working on CNC machines then we are interested in hearing from you. As well as working on machines there are many other rolls required within the company to keep the business moving from day to day.
These machines are ideal for larger batches but we regularly run batch sizes as low as 20 off if our customers require. These machines are capable of turning very small diameters, sub 0.5mm, and up to 35mm dia. For above 35mm dia we have our CMZ TA20-YS fixed head lathe with sub-spindle. This machine can handle bar up to 65mm dia and above that we can automatically load and unload billets up to 180mm dia using the machine's gantry work stocker.
Although many milling operations can be handled on our Star sliding head or CMZ fixed head machines we also have a Leadwell V32i CNC milling machine for any dedicated milled components, larger items or smaller batch sizes. It is also a valuable addition to our workshop as it gives us the ability to do second operations if a component requires additional machining.
With our dedicated inspection department you can be confident that our work meets specification. We can offer first article inspection reports and graphs tracking the dimensional changes throughout the production of the batch. As well as use for our own purposes we can also offer a sub-contract checking service.
