We machine simple and complex designs, to the most precise tolerances, in stainless-steel, carbon steel, aluminium, titanium, brass and plastics.

Batches range from one-off prototypes through to runs of several '000s, consignment stock and call-offs.
Services
Our multi axis fixed head lathes are capable of turning 10mm - 300mm O with a barfeed capacity of up to 75mm, programmed by skilled engineers on machine and offline using CAM software. Materials we frequently machine include steel, stainless steel, titanium, non-ferrous metals, plastics and exotics in low, medium and high volume batches.
GWC philosophy of continually investing in new machinery has kept us up to date with modern machining methods eg. 5th axis and high speed milling on the machining centres and one hit machining on turned components. Our recent purchases include a Doosan-Daewoo V430 twin-pallet vertical machining centre and a Puma 2500SY twin spindle Y-axis turning centre which gives us a 75mm through spindle barfeed capacity.
Our inspection department is equipped with Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) technology and a full range of precision measuring equipment. We provide SPCs, full inspection reports, Certificates of Conformity and welcome individual customer assessments. Our ISO 9001: 2008 quality system endorses the pursuit of quality which is central to our culture: relentlessly focusing on achieving 'right first time'.
Description: We are looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operator. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of Fanuc controls, and will also be capable of programming, setting and operating machining centres. You will be required to be self motivated, reliable, have a continuous improvement attitude and have a flexible working approach.
