With family values at the heart of our business, we welcome guests into our home and greatly enjoy sharing Aylestone Court with all who visit. Our children, Abigail and Toby, also contribute to the family atmosphere, by helping with small chores and making friends with visitors. Originally a grand family home, Aylestone Court has more recently been used as a dentist surgery as well as a dancing and music school.
Now Aylestone Court has been lovingly restored to the hotel it is today, offering 6 en suite guest bedrooms, 2 formal dining or function rooms, a licensed bar and guest's sitting room. Known throughout the world for its Cathedral, which houses the Mappa Mundi and the chained library, Hereford is a fascinating small city destination for a short break.

With family values at the heart of our business, we welcome guests into our home and greatly enjoy sharing Aylestone Court with all who visit. Our children, Abigail and Toby, also contribute to the family atmosphere, by helping with small chores and making friends with visitors. Our aim is to create a beautiful home-from-home where guests can retreat and relax in comfort to enjoy our good food and great hospitality.
Set in beautiful Hereford, only 10 minutes walk away from the city centre and the historic cathedral, Aylestone Court Hotel is an elegant Georgian double-fronted townhouse with attractive gardens and 6 bespoke bedrooms. Run as a family business, we strive to deliver excellent service and a warm, friendly stay.
This tranquil double bedroom is situated on the first floor of the hotel and is decorated in calming blue tones. The traditional king-size bedstead compliments other period-styled furniture including a double wardrobe, chest of drawers and a dressing table. The en suite consists of shower, basin and toilet and complimentary toiletries are provided.
This guest bedroom is decorated with pretty Laura Ashley wallpaper to give a contemporary twist. Mirrored bedside tables complement the more traditional built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers and dressing table. The comfortable king sized beds adds an air of sophistication and its comfort helps in delivering a great night's sleep.
This is the largest room at Aylestone Court and as such is often used as the Bridal Suite. Its opulence is immediately evident and much of this comes from its generous size. With this in mind, Bowes Lyon can also be prepared as a family room. The king sized bed is dressed in gold tones which are carried through into the soft furnishing in the sofa area.

We booked a room for my uncle and his partner as sadly my father had passed away, he lives 5 hours away. After booking I received an email regarding clarification of reason for staying. Feeling really worried that this wasn’t permitted I replied with the reason. They were so kind and considerate and upgraded their room free of charge for a more comfortable stay. That act of kindness meant so much at this difficult time. Their stay was comfortable and they were treated very well with breakfast delivered to their room, the room and hotel was lovely. Highly recommend. Thank you.

The owner Michael was an excellent host, from the time of booking to checking out. We had the Bowes Lyon room which was lovely and spacious. Thought that it would be noisy as it was at the front or the hotel and on a busy road but it was fairly quiet. Breakfast was lovely. We had to pre order the night before do wasn't sure what I'd want the following morning but it worked out fine. They normally have a restaurant in evening but because of COVID this wasn't available. Michael however kindly provided us with a list of nearby restaurants and even offered to set up a table in our room if we chose

On arrival we were greeted by Michael, who showed us to our room and gave us details on the surrounding area. Breakfast was home cooked to order and coffee was fresh. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.
Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Towels were good quality and size. We will definitely recommend to others. Thank you Ian and Ingrid Vince
