Services
All our ingredients are locally sourced whenever possible. Our meats are supplied by two renowned local butchers - 'Glaves' of Brompton and 'The Horny Cow' of Wilton and our fresh seafood is supplied by Dennis Crooks of Whitby. Our restaurant boasts 2 Rosette Awards for quality of produce and presentation.
We truly feel blessed to be in such a lovely location here on the edge of the North York Moors - some of the most stunning and dramatic landsape England has to offer. Whilst perhaps most famous for its tourist attractions, like the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Medieval Castle, Beck Isle Museum and the stunning Saxon Church with its world-famous 15th century wall paintings, Pickering has much, much more to offer.
The function room opens to a beautiful large garden laid out to lawn with various trees and shrubs, making it an excellent backdrop for memorable photographs. We have several Wedding Packages available for up 70 guests in the afternoon for 3 course dining and up to 100 guests in the evening to enjoy a buffet and disco.

Visited here for a Sunday Carvery, we were greeted by a lovely guy who showed us to the restaurant side. We were given a menu each and asked for out drinks order. Drinks arrived shortly after and then there was a wait.... quite a substantial wait considering there was only 8 items on the menu.
While we were waiting, it gave us time to look around the room and check the staff interactions. One of the chefs was more interested in the football playing on his phone, which was loud enough to hear across the room. A waitress that clearly had little to no experience as she spent most of the time stood

Really nice venue, lovely helpful staff and dog friendly, had the mixed grill for one (9/10)
If i had to moan about one minor thing…
The toilet seat in disabled toilet had a crack in it which nipped my thigh. No issue for me as covered it with small piece of bog roll.
But for sake of a max £50 seat could do with fixing.
Other than that, very happy over all, will be back if in area!
Cheers for the good lunch guys

We stopped at the coachman for an evening meal whilst on a short break in the area. We both had the Turkish lamb kebabs and wraps.
The portions were very generous, the food tasted lovely and great presentation, absolutely worth every penny.
Would also recommend the lemon and elderflower cake which is the best cake I've eaten in a long time.
Staff were friendly and very efficient, can't fault the place .
Will definitely return if I'm in the area.

Fantastic visit to this lovely, clean & tidy B&B. Lovely warm welcome from Erkan and the bar staff. Prices very reasonable and food outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and even though there was an issue with the hot water, they jumped on this to get it resolved ASAP, this did not detract from a lovely stay and we will definitely be back when we can. Thank you to you all for a lovely stay!
