Ideally located hotel with views across the clifftops of Robin Hoods Bay. Large open car park at the rear. Furniture in the rooms is in keeping with the period of the hotel along with modern bathroom fittings.
Friendly helpful staff with good food served in the orangery.
Only small criticism is that the WiFi doesn't always reach the rooms on the upper floors, otherwise a very enjoyable break.
We would definitely stay here again.

If anyone stays anywhere near this hotel and doesn't come and try it, they are missing out!
The hotel is wonderfull, lovely location with stunning sea and moorland views, wonderful outdoor space, the interior is packed with features as are the rooms. The room we had was amazing, wonderfully comfortable bed with gorgeous walk in shower and free standing bath.
The food was simply delicious, I was more than happy with everything from the portion size, presentation to taste. Service was warm and welcoming too. A truly 5 star experience, thank you so much for having us.

It’s a beautiful hotel we have stayed here many times! However on opening the windows it was rather disgusting these would not have been cleaned in a long time! Window catch broken.
Food lovely however breakfast you wait a very long time from start to finish
as everyone’s order is cooked fresh to order which is fabulous ! However who want to be waiting 1.5 from start to finish to have breakfast! more chefs needed if this is the case. Now evening meals much quicker so not quite sure how these can be cooked to order.

Me and my girlfriend came for a meal last night and we had the garlic mushrooms and the belly pork which were gorgeous. For our main course we both had the chicken sizzler which was super tasty. Also the staff were so polite and made the night feel really special would highly recommend anyone to visit.

Do NOT bother trying to look into booking a wedding with this place. Lord knows how they have good reviews when the General Manager, Beverley, can't even write an email that is up to basic customer service standards.
It was an enquiry, and all I have recieved back is "I’m afraid we wouldn’t be able help at this time." That's all my email says. No explanation, no apology. Why can't they help me? Is it the date requested? Is it the type of wedding requested? Your guess is as good as mine! To be honest if their customer service has failed at the first hurdle of an email, I am SO glad I haven

What a wonderful place to stay! We absolutely loved everything about it. It was so clean and friendly, and the food was beautifully cooked and presented. The bedroom was lovely and homely with free tea and coffee and en-suite. I must say a thank you to the doorman Michael, always friendly and smiling and so helpful. We hope to be back very soon!

Fantastic Peri-Peri hanging Kebab in a lovely garden room. Dropped in the Victoria hotel after a lovely walk along Cleveland Way from Whitby. We ordered food, Theakston bitter and a coke. My kebab was delicious. Tender tandoori chicken with sweet potato fries. Fabulous! Great service and polite friendly staff.

View is five star, food is five star, staff were five star and yet why only 4? The staff are charging about doing the best they can, but the way the hotel is set up is against them. There are three or four ways in, none feel like a real entrance and none are managed. You can walk around at will and feel you have to jump on a staff member. I bet the staff feel customers come at then from no where and it's equally hard to keep tabs on them. Is it a pub, restaurant or hotel....it's trying to be all three and we were not sure if these were meant to be separated elements or not. A few layout changes
