The Cadogan Hotel is a family run business 3* Small Hotel. Situated 500m from Newmarket High Street this 19th Century building is steeped in history and character. King Edward VII regularly visited the Earl of Cadogan, when the hotel was then his Newmarket residence.
Kevin and Julie Reed took over the hotel in 2002 and have continually improved the building to bring it up to today's standards, whilst maintaining the character and charm of the building.All rooms are different shapes and sizes, some with original features. All rooms are ensuite with hairdryer, iron and ironing board, and complimentary beverages.

Room not clean cobwebs everywhere, toilet doors falling off chippings on the floor looks like alot of insects in the middle chewing it off,headboard falling off looks like it's been there for ages lots of other stuff. Very unclean hotel, I'm in a different hotel every week cos of my work and this's the worst I've seen...

Excellent value for money. Super location. Very large clean room beautifully appointed, fresh and bright room with lots of tea and coffee. Iron, trousers press, hair dryer, iron ect. . Very comfortable hotel. The owner is so nice and helpful. Lovely English decor just a real gem of a place. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely be using them again. 10 out of 10.

This hotel treads the fine line between having character and needing a redecoration.
I had a small double room with a single occupancy and it was definitely prepared for only one person. One small towel, two pillows on one side of the bed.
The window was over the bed and with an injured knee I had to crawl across the bed to close the curtains which weren't connected to the ends of the rail.
Some old stained furniture and the sheets were so dry and starched they felt like canvas. I was disappointed in the stay as it cost £100 for which I could have had a more comfortable stay in the Premier

Stayed at this hotel a couple of months ago.Not a Nice place. Very dated. The staff are very rude and careless. Stained bedsheets.
There’s a lot of nice hotels in Newmarket.
I’m not staying there ever again!!!!
Don’t get carried away with the nice reviews, they must be from known people to the owner.
