The Fordingbridge Day Nursery has a highly qualified and experienced staff team. All have current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. The team is dedicated, hard working and has a wealth of experience in childcare and education; from newly qualified staff to those who have spent many years working in a range of settings.
The staff attend regular courses in Safeguarding of Children, Paediatric First Aid and child development to keep them up to date with their practice. Jay is supported by Charlie (Qualified Teacher), Hannah (Level 3 and SENCO), and Anita(Forest School Lead). We are very lucky to also have a great bank staff team with a vast array of qualifications.

Services
We wish to provide a happy and emotionally secure environment where children in our care can trust us to meet their emotional and physical needs, where they have the freedom to develop at their own pace, and know they will be valued for who they are. To provide flexible care routines that are based around the individual child.
Fordingbridge Day Nursery is in an ideal location for transport between, Bournemouth, Ringwood, Salisbury and Southampton. We believe that children in our care should spend time in an environment where they feel comfortable, secure and nurtured by those around them. Our staff are highly qualified, all of whom are trained in both first aid and safeguarding children.
The nursery is governed by the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage which clearly sets out the welfare, care, learning and development standards that all nurseries must follow and that Ofsted will inspect us on. The EYFS is divided into three Themes which support good quality care and practice.
We strongly believe that a good diet is essential for happy, well developed, healthy children. We offer well planned meals that use fresh fruit, vegetable, meat and fish. Our menus are varied and all food is prepared daily in our kitchen by our chef. We can cater for most dietary needs. Breakfast is available up to 8.30 am.
Children can also attend our Forest School during the holidays. The children will be enjoying activities such as fire making, 'wild' cooking, wittling and den building as well as exploring the forest to find bugs, collect natural objects and feed the on-site cows, horses, chickens and ducks. The children will spend their indoor time in a purpose built log cabin, which is where they will go to enjoy freshly prepared meals cooked by our chef.
