It's a shame that the main thing which lets it down is the mattresses which are very uncomfortable, you can feel the springs and cleanliness could be better. As cleanliness and a comfortable night's sleep are the most important things its the reason I only gave 3 stars, otherwise it would be 5 stars.
No 34 in separate building across the alleyway had plenty of character and is a good size.
Free Secure car parking.
Good food available in main building which is again full of character and atmosphere.
Fridge and hairdryer in the room.
Tea and coffee facilities with tasty free cookies,
Radiator

I wasn't sure if we had made the right choice when I arrived. But quickly got to like the amazing quirky grade 1 building. Staff were friendly and helpful. The beer, wine and cider were to our taste. We had a service dog with us and stayed in an outside room, which was convenient. The owners provided good parking for my motorcycle right next to the room. Finally, the cooked Buffet breakfast set us up well for the day. People in the hotel and town were very friendly.
