Established in 2014 by John, Akasaka is an authentic Japanese Kitchen located in Wolverton, Northampton and Milton Keynes. We pride ourselves on our fresh ingredients and delicious sushi flavours. Choose from over 120 delicious and nutritious dishes including sushi, sushi rolls, sashimi, grilled food, tempura and last but not least rice and noodles.

Your table will be reserved for you until 30 minutes after your booked reservation time. Please note that the times show below are live from our booking system and are confirmed as soon as you book.

This place surprised me.
Calm cozy atmosphere. Friendly & courteous service from well informed staff who assisted us in familiarising with the menu! We had booked quite late and were the last table to leave and although we were conscious of this no one else made us feel rushed or unwelcome as we’ve felt at other MK restaurants since the pandemic. We wanted to try a lot so ordered a decent amount of food which we all could only describe as ‘insane’ it was delicious. we also drank quite a bit and assumed we’d racked up the bill but when it came I was shocked by how good value it all was

Charming place. More on the formal side then casual ramen shop. Must be great for bussiness or dating diner. Japanese music slowly playing in the background, Japanese chief behind the sushi counter. Just don't come here expecting traditional ramen. It was delicious, don't get me wrong,but had little more then noodles in common with ramen we all know. No pickled egg, nori leaf, weird pink jelly or twisted meat. Just heavily grilled meat in spicy and delicious broth. Still 5 starts for overall experience and superb staff.

Amazing sushi place! Everything was fresh, delicious and really good quality. Plus it looks so nice when it is served. I will definitely be coming back for that. I might not try the hot dishes again. They were nice, but not the best ones I ever had.
Place is a little bit difficult to find as it is inside the building and we had passed it a few times before we notice a standing ad. I liked the decor. I enjoyed that the music wasn't too loud and we could have a conversation. Dishes looked beautifully when served. Service was very nice and friendly.

Food was disappointing and management is unfriendly. Was served instant noodles as “ramen” for £10.90. Would’ve happily paid had I not known I could make the same processed noodles and dry chicken at home for less than £1.50.
I wouldn’t have left angry if the owner hadn’t blamed us for giving the noodles a chance by tasting one bite.
Poor customer service from management. Will not be returning.
Edit: as you can see from the photo, there was more than half in the bowl when I returned it.
Also yes, it was not the staff’s fault at all, I made sure to let them know.
