We returned to the hotel to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and were put in the lovely honeymoon suite. The bed was very comfortable, although the room clearly hasn't been updated in the ten years since we got married here! They could do with adding a few more touches to spruce the place up a bit in my opinion, but we enjoyed our romantic night and the dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Service was friendly and we especially enjoyed a cream tea in the comfy lounge with lots of board games provided and a lovely atmosphere.

Wonderful place to enjoy a well deserved cuppa, with great helpful staff and a relax atmosphere. Lift at the back of the hotel via their car park area for wheelchair access. Hand sanitizer available in the hotel.

Comfortable, friendly, helpful. Gone us the tired and rather world-weary Bedford Hotel of a few years ago, and in its place is a well-maintained, high quality place to stay with delicious food and drink, and excellent service. We had a splendid stay. I can heartily recommend Dartmoor in late November - at the Bedford.

A very tasty evening meal at the Bedford, although portion sizes are small. A very good price. Helpful staff. We found eating in the bar to be rather more lively.

We went for dinner and had an excellent prawn cocktail. The service was friendly and efficient even though we were the last people left in the dining room, not having noticed that everyone else had left and the last waitress was laying up for breakfast. The only let down were the chips accompanying the main which were standard frozen ones.

I liked it a lot.
The staff were friendly and very helpful.
Most people were masked
The room was small, but comfortable with all the basic amenities.
Very clean, well-maintained.
The staircases, chandeliers and corridor artwork hint at lost grandeur.
If be more than happy to stay there again if I get the chance.

Did a lovely Xmas wreath making afternoon with a cream tea. Catherine, who ran the course was excellent, friendly and so helpful. Our group had a thoroughly enjoyable time and left with a beautiful wreath to take home. Our afternoon tea was in a lovely spot in the hotel too. Thanks to Catherine and the other hotel staff who were all so helpful. Would love to return 😊
