St James C Of E Primary School
St James' CE Primary School is a one-form entry school in Enfield closely linked to St James' Church, this link enables our children to flourish and learn from Christian values which are so important to us. Our biggest asset without a doubt are our fantastic children who are friendly, happy and keen to learn.

At St James' we believe that all children should fulfil their potential and the dedicated staff team will always go the extra mile to enable this to happen. Being a small school we pride ourselves in knowing our children and their families well. We meet the needs of our children through our engaging curriculum, our pastoral care and spiritual guidance.
Services
Our school community is inspired by the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13) where we are encouraged to think about and understand that the smallest things have the greatest potential when they are provided with the best environment for growth. This is exactly what we all strive for at St James'; a learning environment where all our children can flourish and grow in their own unique way.
St James' Church of England Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of the children of the school and expects that all staff and volunteers share this commitment. Our safeguarding policy cannot be separated from the general ethos of the school, which is to ensure that pupils are treated with respect and dignity; taught to treat each other with respect; feel safe; have a voice, and are listened to.
The music therapy tree provides music therapy to children in mainstream primary schools across London. Our music therapist, Camilla Farrant, has provided music therapy sessions to our pupils since 2010, also running a successful choir that offers all children in the school an outlet for musical expression and enjoyment.
At St James' we always look to provide the best strategies to enhance the lives of the whole child, to allow them to develop academically, socially and emotionally to their fullest potential. Our Play Therapist adds to the professional support we can offer to our pupils, she provides individual sessions of play therapy every week in addition to the weekly lunchtime self-referred drop in sessions.
If you are considering transferring your child to St. James' you need to contact the School and the Local Authority. It is important that the Local Authority is aware you would like a place at St James' as they help us to allocate our places. As you may be aware, we are a very popular school and we hold waiting lists for each class; places are allocated according to our admissions criteria.
