Used to be the place to go in Settle, but not any more. Alwayscseems quiet, so no trouble finding a seat. Service good, but range of beers a bit limited

Absolutely terrible. Bar staff not welcoming at all. I asked if they still serving food and I got a reply of "you've got 15 minutes" with a very lackluster attitude. Locals looking and blatantly talking about us. Yes you can't help that from the general public but the bald guy who works there sat with his a lady with a cockerspanial talking about us then trying to stare me out is such an absolute joke. So we felt it best to leave. Try be polite and not bring your personal life to work, if being polite is not your thing, get out of hospitality as the staff don't understand it. Sorry for such a harsh

A very welcoming pub, nice log fire to take the chill out and a nice pint of Thwaites IPA & Mulled cider, very nice.

If you want to pay too prices for FROZEN FOOD! This is the place to be.
We ordered smothered chicken burger, which was two frozen birdseye chicken strips with a melted cheese slice 🤮
My partner ordered a steak. This was expensive and although he said was cooked well it was very fatty and not much sides, he still felt hungry afterwards. And then my son got a lasagna and garlic bread. The lasagna was frozen and was thrown together on the plate with only two small pieces of garlic bread for £10!!!! Absolutely disgusting none of us enjoyed it.
The one star is for the staff who were very friendly

We stopped here for lunch, the food was delicious. We had a fish finger baguette and a vegan hummus open sandwich, all home made and incredibly tasty. The service was extremely friendly especially the young guy behind the bar. very polite and helpful. Dog friendly too.
