We pride ourselves on highly personalized service - our staff enjoys taking care of you, and we make every effort to look after your every need - if your stay is for a week in the summer, or simply a relaxing cup of coffee with friends.
One Holyrood is situated in the medieval centre of Newport. The Grade II listed buildings date from the early 17th century and have undergone a complete and sympathetic restoration. Date marks are visible in bricks and stone.

Over the years these historic buildings have had a variety of uses most notably a Blacksmiths shop, a Bakery, in the 1940's a Gentleman's Outfitters and then before becoming a hotel Nos. 1 & 2 were a well known Picture Gallery specializing in sailing and seascapes and Nos. 3 & 4 an antique shop.Rooms follow the building's original layout and are accessed from the historic stair (mind your head).
If you are planning on exploring the Isle of Wight whilst staying at One Holyrood, you can get useful information on Tourist Attractions, English Heritage and National Trust, events in Newport, music festivals, walks, beaches and lots more right here. Whether you want to have an action-packed day out with the kids, a cultural filled day or a walk in the country there is always something to do on the Isle of Wight.

Newport is a wonderful place to base yourself so you can see the sights and enjoy all the fantastic things to do on the Isle of Wight, and if you are travelling here on business you're able to get to all the professional, service and distribution sectors, as they are mainly located in Newport. The Council, public services, St. Mary's Hospital, the Isle of Wight College and Law Courts are all in Newport.
One Holyrood has a charming and quintessentially British walled garden. Our garden is a peaceful, sheltered and secluded retreat for guests and customers to enjoy. Prior to being lovingly restored, the garden at One Holyrood was neglected, overgrown and abandoned. Years of accumulated waste was completely cleared out, the area re-levelled and then paved with the stone slabs found in the undergrowth.

Such a lovely staying. Hotel building and garden were very beautiful and the building itself was historical one. It was shown that the property has been cared and maintained by love to it. Nice breakfast feeling like I was in 19c. The owner and all staffs were very kind.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch, in a calm but cheerful environment. The small hotel/cafe/ restaurant is clearly well run and well maintained. Would recommend.

Disappointing today - have always found this place lovely and good value, but today a sausage sandwich in extremely thin and small sliced bread and nothing else on the plate - poor.

Completely delightful find in Newport on the Isle of Wight!
I didn't stay overnight, but you can - I popped in for a breakfast. Warmly welcomed by a member of staff, I chose to sit outside in their beautiful walled garden, where flowers of all kinds have been carefully tended to appear wild, yet obviously kept in check and looked after.
A large pot of tea accompanied breakfast - I went for the small English breakfast of one sausage, one slice of bacon, beans, toast, tomato, mushroom and free range poached egg - total cost £7.95.
Where to start? The poached egg was delicious, the thickly sliced

Lovely hotel, cafe and garden in the centre of Newport. Convenient for restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff. Modern and well furnished and equipped in two traditional and historic houses. Lovely gardens for eating or just relaxing. Comfortable modern beds and en-suites.

This is my favourite place to meet friends and family. The gardens are amazing, you would never know that they were there when walking past on the street.

Came across this place today, didn't realise it was a hotel from the pavement view, it seemed to be a coffee/tea, scones and cakes venue. A lady came to where we were seated to take our order. At this point we asked for 1 glass of water, 1 latte, 1 hazelnut coffee & a scone. The lady said she was going to complete what she was doing before giving us our order, she then return to the counter. In the meantime whilst we waited a colleague shouted across "how many scones are there?" The answer was "3 after". The full plate of scones (approx 6) were then given to her colleague. The staff member then
