The first night is quite bad. Bcos we arrived late at night and the mattress is really annoying. So our sleep its not good. But when we ask to change the mattress, they offer to change our room. And its quite big and we like it. But the bathtub are not really good. Especially when you have long hair and you want to stay longer in the shower. The bath tub are clogged. I mean the water not really flown fast. So hope they gonna fix it that. And its good bcos quite cheap and you can walk around in the centre of cardiff!!!! 👍👌

The bed was comfortable, but music coming from nightclub next door kept me awake till 2.30 am, so couldn't sleep. The breakfast was good, but tea was very strong.

Clean, tidy and well run. Very convenient for the centre of Cardiff. Very good value for money. Could probably do with a refurb but would then much more expensive and lose it's 'faulty towers' charm

Hot shower, crisp clean sheets and a warm welcome, (despite arriving very late at night) couldn't ask for more!

Not the worst hotel I've stayed in but not the best either. Room was very nice until we had pumping music until gone 1am (on a Tuesday morning) and we had to be up early... Staff were all very polite and helpful, and Yes I'd stay again...but will take ear muffs!!

Last minute booking, just needed a night's sleep really.
On a tight budget so reserved a single room for 05/09/21. On arrival, I was actually given keys to room 204, a twin room and probably more than double the size of the single.
Toilet was a little wobbly, but for the price I can't really complain.
I read negative reviews about the noise which are valid but expected being in the very centre of town, other hotels in this locality have the same issue.
I do think you have to manage your expectations if you are staying somewhere this central.
Staff were also very pleasant.

An inexpensive hotel for a short getaway. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, brilliant location in the city centre - most major attractions are within walking distance.
It's cozy which would be a good thing during cooler months, but I'd definitely look for something with air conditioning for summer, especially with heatwaves present. Smaller rooms get stuffy and even the fan provided doesn't help. It's also possible that echo will carry some of the party noises even if you're not facing the main street, but that's the price for the convenient location.

More than basic economy class hotel with an amazing, and a very polite staff. Clean rooms to perfection. Very good location. You can't complain, if you pay around £40 per night.

I'd been warned that this hotel was above a club but I really
couldn't hear much from it or the nearby city streets. There was the occasional
whoop or shriek but the noise was so minor it could just as easily have been
someone in a room nearby watching 'Booze Britain' on TV. My room was small but was perfectly adequate for my requirements
and was most reasonable for such a city centre location. I did drop in on breakfast but only fancied a snack so I headed
off before they could offer me a fry up (if that was their intention).
