It is with great pride that I welcome you to Mangotsfield Church of England Primary School, a warm and loving school family with shared high ambition and aspiration for every member within it. You only need to walk around our school and spend time with any member of our school team to feel the commitment, passion and interest in learning - which alongside the personal development of each individual means meeting full potential.
Services
We are a modern Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School for children aged 4 to 11 based within South Gloucestershire Local Education Authority. Following our extension in 2015, our school capacity is now 630 children grouped across twenty one classes. We have 21 classes as a three-form entry school.
This applies equally to every single member of our school community and fosters a sense of family and pride from every single stakeholder. At Mangotsfield Church of England Primary School our Lighthouse Values underpin everything we want our children to aspire to be & value. They form the Christian ethos of our school & we reinforce these values at every opportunity.
Governors are an elected group made up of parents, school staff, Local Authority, Diocesan and co-opted representatives. The Head and the Vicar of St James, Mangotsfield are permanent members with all others serving a four-year term. Governors oversee the management and leadership of the school and act as 'critical friend' to the school.
Mangotsfield Church of England Primary School is committed to providing high quality education to every child. We believe that all children, including those identified as having special educational needs or a disability (SEND), have a common entitlement to an accessible, broad and balanced academic and social curriculum and that they should be fully included in all aspects of school life.
We are fortunate to have a modern school building containing: a purpose built studio space; a inviting and well-stocked library; a well-equipped food technology room; a large hall and a computing suite big enough to accommodate a whole class of children. All of this is in addition to our twenty one bright and inspiring classrooms!
