Bilton Community Primary School
Visitors comment that our school has a great feel and provides a lovely, supportive and positive environment within which children flourish. Our pupils are well behaved and on task in lessons. Developments over recent years have ensured that pupil achievement is normally above local and national averages in every stage of the school.
Services
Every school needs to have a clear set of aims and ethos in order to pursue excellence. Below you'll find an outline of ours which will show you the educational model that we strive for. In our school education is about children experiencing the power of discovery, solving problems, and being creative and successful in subjects across the primary curriculum.
Most children begin their education at the start of the term that follows their third birthday. These Foundation 1 pupils attend on a part-time basis for up to fifteen hours per week. They are placed in a pastoral group of no more than thirteen children and are taught in our Foundation Stage. Full-time attendance commences at the start of the academic year in which a child's fifth birthday falls.
The governing body has a range of duties and powers and a general responsibility for the conduct of the school with a view to promoting high standards of educational achievement. Once done, every time we post something new into the website, you'll see it on your news feed. Alternatively follows us on social media - our postings will appear on your Web 2 platform.
Each year, two children from each class are chosen to represent their year group on the Student Council. The Student Council meet regularly to discuss their thoughts and are always coming up with sensible and interesting ideas. The Student Council this year are a very enthusiastic bunch and are working hard to improve the school, give the children a platform to voice their ideas and raise money for special charities and events.
The village of Bilton has a thriving community and our school is very much at the centre. Our children gain a clear sense of identity, and learn to contribute to their society, via our involvement in events and with local groups. St Peter's Church offers us fantastic support. Revd Maggie Jeavons is a regular visitor to our school.

Used to be a great school now instead of engaging with parents and helping the children its all about saving money and minnimum effort. It all comes down to the arrogant upper management. The actual teachers try but are fighting a losing battle, Shame really
