Our HCAT councillors / SSG members play a critical role in representing our school at Trust events and meetings. They celebrate Westcott across the wider network of HCAT schools and work with other HCAT councillors to organise events. They are also members of the SSG (previously known as the Local Governing Body), where they provide our governors with first-hand information about life as a child at Westcott.
School stakeholder groups are committees established by the Trustees to provide oversight, support and challenge in relation to defined aspects of the work of schools. School stakeholder groups are committees of the Board of Trustees and have responsibilities delegated to them by Trustees. Primarily to ensure HCAT policies and procedures are in place and are being implemented in their schools.

SATs are statutory assessments carried out by all state schools. They assess how your child's abilities compare nationally with other children in the same year group. National average progress is always 0. Schools that make less progress receive a negative number rating, schools that make more progress receive a positive rating.
HCAT is a Teaching Academy and an Accredited Sponsor, we work with a number of partners to provide the highest quality education for all children within our schools and children in schools we support. The focus of HCAT is our children and we strive to ensure that every child within the Trust receives outstanding teaching and learning opportunities through collaboration and school improvement.
