The hands speak of cooperation - families, schools, adults and children working together to make sure our pupils get the best possible start in life. The hands stretch upwards reaching for greater, better, higher things - always ambitious for more. The tree speaks of growth and development. Growth in knowledge and skills but also in character.
Services
Ings Primary School is a Community Primary co-educated day school catering for approximately 273 children, a 26 place purpose built nursery. It is not affiliated to any religious denomination. The school has an early years' admission policy and this allows us to admit pupils at the beginning of the school year in which they reach their 5th birthday.
The Thrive Co-operative Learning Trust (formerly the Yorkshire and the Humber Co-operative Learning Trust) was established in 2016 and now includes 7 primary and 2 secondary schools. We believe that we have the capacity, underpinned by an underlying ethical approach to leadership to inspire our students and staff and bring rapid and sustained improvement for the benefit of the communities that we live and work in.
At Ings Primary School we believe that a child's early education is formative and enduring. The lessons we teach give the knowledge, skills, beliefs and attitudes that inform future choices and life's direction. They enable children to begin to discover who they are and what their place in a rapidly changing world might be.
The governing body has a range of duties and powers and a general responsibility for the conduct of the school with a view to promoting high standards of educational achievement. My experience working within the Employment, Education and Training Industry spans almost 30 years.

During this time I managed a private Training Company, managed numerous large community funded projects, some with budgets in excess of 4 million and more recently I formed and run a local not for profit company, tackling the barriers within the sector. The multiple roles held over this time have given me a vast knowledge of the sector and the needs the young people of our community have.
Our intention at Ings Primary School is to release the full potential of the adults and child and to inspire them to be the best they can be. It is our aim to achieve this, for the children, by working in a close partnership with family members. Our goal is to develop a solid foundation for citizenship and to equip children for the best possible start both for their further education and in the wider world.

My primary school. Great school, I lived a minute away so it always been a part of my life. It's a good sized building, with a lovely big playing field and two play grounds. The teachers are brilliant, my nephew is currently attending the school.
