Services
The Governing Body is made up of staff, parents, local business representatives, community members and the Headteacher. They are committed to taking an active role in school life in order to support and challenge the school to ensure they provide a high quality education to the children within their education and care.
At Sir James Knott Nursery School, we adhere to some straight forward schools rules which everyone must following school. These also reflect how children should behave outside of school as well. Our Golden Rules were devised by the children themselves. The purpose of Operation Encompass is to safeguard and support children and young people who have been involved in a domestic abuse incident.
Sir James Knott nursery School offers a unique curriculum which celebrates the great potential of young children, with the goal of nurturing self-motivated, life-long learners. At the core of our approach is that all children are innate talented and motivated investigators, capable with facilitation to develop their sophisticated inquiry across all seven areas of learning and the characteristics of effective learning.

We have produced some home learning challenges linked to our spring project of To Infinity and Beyond? Our focus for the upcoming week is How did Baby Bear travel to the moon? How could we travel to space? We have covered all 7 areas of learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and have provided an activity for each.
