Comfortable clean rooms and the staff are fantastic. The only issue I had was with the en suite. The hand soap dispenser was fixed to the wall above the toilet tissue which resulted in wet toilet tissue when washing hands and a personal dislike of mine - clean towels were kept over the toilet. My experience is of a double cosy room not sure about the others.

Spent an amazing afternoon here for my niece's wedding last Saturday. The staff were amazing,very friendly! The only setback being the upstairs ladies toilets,the toilets didn't flush properly,the sinks didn't drain properly and the rubbish bin was overflowing with paper towels and rubbish.This was pre wedding and disappointing, however the wedding reception room was ideal and emaculate.

Off to a bad start with a rude argumentative receptionist, not at all welcoming.
During Friday night between 1-4am, there were several people roaming in the corridors of the hotel, shouting loudly. Reception must have heard this but did nothing about it .I did not feel safe and especially when I opened the door( a big mistake) to ask them to be quiet.I felt quite threatened by a youth with his hooded top over his head who appeared from nowhere when I opened the bedroom door.
Were these people guests? If not, why were they allowed to roam round the hotel

It was my very great pleasure to attend an event at The Mandolay Hotel in Guildford recently, the black-tie dinner was a huge success with more than 200 guests, including celebrities, being served an excellent meal in a spotlessly clean banqueting room. I also stayed in a beautiful suite for the night with my partner which was of exceptional quality and really capped the whole evening off perfectly. The staff throughout the hotel were first rate and were always attentive and helpful, from the dinner to breakfast the following morning. As a former hotelier myself I like to give credit where it is

I am highly disappointed with the hotel and would not stay there again. You have to pay for your own parking with no refunds! You have to pay for breakfast and there aren't teas or spoons in the room. only cups and kettle ... plus I got charged 20 pounds for early check-in what is a bit expensive what I got for that money! especially as the room was already 140 pounds! Their kitchen isn't working and I can go on and on ! Staff is rude its a joke

Very nice hotel in a good location. Stylish decor, good room and en-suite. The room was nice and dark with curtains closed and there was a fan which was great. We didn't eat there but the restaurant looked lovely. We enjoyed a couple of drinks in the very nice bar including one of the delicious summer cocktails. My only slight negatives were that our basement room had a a bit noisy plumbing and then someone (I presume a cleaner) opened our bedroom door shortly after 9am when we were in bed so we had to shout out! Also I thought the car parking fees should have been cheaper for hotel guests. And
