I had a 2 night stay booked by work. I arrived at 0030 and still found the staff fresh and friendly to check me in. The room was very clean and well laid out, I was pleasantly surprised by the large bathroom. Parking is plentiful although the signage and path round could be further illuminated for those arriving after dark and unfamiliar with the layout.
My only issue (and personal preference) was the room was far too warm and the radiators would not turn down/off. The windows are not on any restraining device so just free to flap in the breeze which made it impossible to control the temperature

Fantastic stay at Gorse Hill. Staff were very attentive. Food at dinner was delicious and prompt (duck, chicken, Cod, pate, peaches). The junior suite and deluxe double was fantastic. Shower pressure was THE BEST. Very clean and looks newly painted refurbished. Love the decor and art everywhere. Beautiful grounds and still worth a stay in January (albeit it was good weather). 15 mins users to guildford high street. 15 minutes drive to RHS Wisley Gardens. Reception was very friendly and helpful especially Grace and Isabel. Will definitely book again in the summer. One of my favourite stays.

The food is excellent, but if you want to come here for a special occasion, I would think twice! As I emailed this hotel to say it was my wife’s birthday and she was lactose intolerant and got a nice reply, when we went to the restaurant, the waiter knew about the lactose intolerant message so I thought they would know that it was her birthday and it was completely ignored, I didn’t want to say anything in front of her as it was acknowledged by email that they would do something, I thought they would have put a candle on her dessert or a special plate. I have since emailed and was completely

Nice, clean and well decorated hotel. A combination of modern and traditional look without trying too hard. The dessert was the best part about the food menu, the food could be a bit more flavoursome but couldn’t try the steak that day so maybe that would have been better. Staff were helpful with offering to take luggage to the room and sorting out water bottle queries. The breakfast we were really pleased with as it was of good quality. Nice peaceful greenery in the hotel garden and everything was driving distance whether it be forests and other sights and shops.

Located near Woking, Surrey this is a really beautiful place to stay. The hotel and rooms are scrupulously clean and extremely well decorated. The food is absolutely first class, as are the friendly and attentive staff. Absolutely ideal for a relaxing getaway break and for exploring the surrounding area. We will definitely come back.

Surroundings were great. Food was very nice. Double room was small but clean. However it came with a small bath and a shower attachment and a sloping ceiling that you could not stand up in. No shower curtain. Who has time to run baths these days ? I mean if that is all the hotel has to offer they should say so and I would have cancelled or rescheduled. I hope to god the hotel were full up because that room should only be offered as a last resort. They should treat their guests better than that. Every time I tried to bath/shower I got so angry ! Please do not annoy your customers by offering that
