When Pete Pallai founded myPilateslondon he wanted to create a boutique studio with a dedicated and approachable team of practitioners, with instructors who offer their own individual skill sets and style but, foremost, look after their clients and offer a holistic approach to conditioning and rehabilitation.
Athletes and practitioners such as osteopaths, chiropractors and physiotherapists firmly advocate studio Pilates for rehabilitation, injury prevention and longevity in sport. MyPilates London is excellent. I initially started going to classes with Pete as part of my rehab program after hip surgery. Pete is incredibly professional, knowledgeable and very considerate of everyone in his class regardless of their experience level. I have been going to sessions for 2 years now and i love it. You definitely leave there feeling like you have worked hard in a great way. The energy and experience of the team is delightful and I couldn't recommend MyPilates enough. His methodically detailed style quietly zeroes in on the target; whether it be low back pain, tight/weak muscles, return to fitness etc.
Pete also comes with just the right combination of motivation coupled with empathy. He himself, as an athlete, understands injury but also dysfunction; ie factors that contribute to an injury. He is creative in designing exercises around injury or limitations.
As a musculoskeletal physiotherapist, I highly recommend him (and his team).

MyPilates is amazing. I went there 4 months after giving birth and I am still doing weekly lessons two years later. Pete was great at listening to what I wanted to achieve and then finding me an instructor that fit with my availability & fitness targets. Kate has been amazing and we were able to continue our weekly sessions all through lockdown via Zoom. Kate is great fun to work with and is so patient, especially when my 2 year old decides to join the virtual session :). thank you myPilates.

I cannot recommend the myPilates studio highly enough! It might be small but that is part of its charm, and it still manages to house all the toys (studio pilates equipment!) you could wish for. Pete was wonderfully welcoming when I came to work with one of his teachers specifically, and on the all too rare occasions I’ve seen him in his studio, his enthusiasm and love for pilates is infectious and life affirming! I have been going to myPilates for four and a half years. Initially I needed help after suffering a lot of riding injuries and then Pete and all the wonderful trainers have supported me through cancer treatment and recovery . I am currently living back in Ireland but thanks to Zoom, I don't need to give up myPilates London. Cant wait to get back into the studio and cant tell you enough how brilliant you all are. My wife took three years to persuade me to try Pilates and now I wish I’d started decades ago. My sessions at MyPilatesLondon have brought me core strength, stamina and flexibility. I had the classic blokeish view that Pilates was just a bit of stretching. If only I’d been doing this in my rugby and squash days. Now it helps with cycling, golf and rowing. I can’t recommend Pete, Kate and the team highly enough.

I have been a regular at MyPilates for 5 years now. Reformer Pilates was recommended to me to help improve muscle and overall back stiffness caused by long working hours sitting at a desk and driving. I first started out with 121s with Pete (the owner), who not only taught me the importance of stretching and breathing to relieve pain, but also helped me strengthen parts of my body which have contributed to better posture and a fitter physique.
I now attend classes, weekly if not more regularly to ensure that I don’t undo all the great work I have achieved so far. Without Pilates and the support

As an olympic athlete myself, I have so much respect for Pete as an athlete but also as a professional in the pilates industry. Pete has created a unique approach to the Pilates method, which incorporates all forms of training; mobility, stability, strength and power, plus a whole lot of laughs! The key for me is not only how knowledgable Pete is, but how he is able to impart that knowledge through movement to his clients. I honestly can’t recommend myPilates London more highly!

MyPilates London, Pete and the team are amazing. They are on the top of my list of things I miss from London. MyPilates used to be my happy place. You work with amazing instructors with full knowledge of pilates so you are certain to get the best work out with the correct tecniques. You feel fit, happy and pretty. I am quite challenging when it comes to my pilates sessions. When I first moved to Putney, my biggest concern was how to find a good studio for myself. I was very lucky to find Pete. I miss you Pete!

Before using MyPilates I'd been a big fan of Pilates generally, but now I'd never go back to the mat on its own! Whilst MyPilates still focuses on your core, the fluidity and… strength gained from using the reformers cannot be underestimated. I love the classes, the ease of being able to book online and the like minded people that attend the classes - we always have fun even if it feels like torture at the time!

By far most effective and intense workout I've have in London. Seen massive gains in posture, strength, mobility as well as complete recovery from a few long running injuries thanks to Pete's expert guidance. I moved to the UK from Australia over a year ago & one of my first tasks was to find a new reformer Pilates studio - my kind of therapy!
Well wasn't I lucky to find this gem first go. Pete is a fantastic… instructor & all round great guy.
Every class is varied and challenging in the best possible way. Not only great do I go for my physical development but also my mental wellbeing.
I've never been one to stick to regular exercise routines.... sad but true.... but 18 months on, myPilates a regular fixture in my weekly routine (Sorry Pete you won't be getting rid of me anytime soon

It’s always tough to have to write good reviews for something you love, because then everyone with know about this little gem of a torture chamber but here goes.
The thing about Pete is he takes things slowly,… it isn’t about speed, it’s about tiny little movements that ultimately wake up big muscles. (never underestimate this the next day)
He adapts the movement for everyone in the class, and takes the time to correct. These classes are never easy, the man has no clue about fluff and easy, but that isn’t why you get up on a Saturday morning either.
And your ears

Having previously existed solely on a diet of gym/free-weights it never occurred to me to give Pilates a go. But an opportunity presented itself to train with Pete at myPilates and it seemed worth investigating. Wow, what a total shock to the system that first session was. And the second, and the third...
Pete draws on years of experience in… disciplines beyond Pilates; international athlete, rugby player and general gym monster. He combines all of that knowledge/experience with genuine enthusiasm to constantly challenge making each session uniquely demanding (!!!) and strangely addictive

I absolutely love Pete's Reformer classes. They are fun and innovative but always challenging. No two classes are the same and I always leave the room feeling like I've had a mammoth work out yet still feeling… energised and invigorated. Pete's attention to detail and technique mean that I am always getting the very best out of every movement. I can't recommend his classes highly enough.
