They tailor lessons carefully to each student and seek to make you not just a guitarist, but also a musician. It all takes place in a highly supportive communal environment with friendly smiles and all-you-can-drink tea! You might find having someone to help guide you and make sure no bad habits are developed is useful to help you get better at playing guitar.

Chardelle started as a beginner, and has been working on her acoustic and electric guitar playing. On top of that, her singing, and playing performing as well.

And through my quest to improve my own guitar playing I've developed a system to help others. I had a teacher who struggled to help me with my guitar playing - and I made the mistake of thinking all teachers would struggle. And before I know it, it's 4am and I'm watching a Korean 8 year old shredding metal songs with his eyes shut.
I've built a small team of incredibly passionate guitar teachers - and we all work together to create the best learning environment and curriculum we can. I noticed that most children who pick up an instrument don't actually get good at playing it. After teaching thousands of childrens music lessons (and attending a lot myself as a child.)
Being part of the community of mums in the local area of East London, I realised there's a real lack of musical education for babies, toddlers and even preschool age. I'm super passionate about childhood musical education. And musical opportunities at this young age is so vital and has life changing benefits for your child's future.
A few articles that I hope will be helpful for you or your child to improve their guitar playing. Our focus is teaching students in person in our guitar school. For more in depth instruction and to get real life feedback to help you guitar playing. I would always recommend seeing finding a guitar teacher in person.
Here are reviews, testimonials and progress videos from our guitar students. Since I started taking guitar lessons here, it has unlocked the fretboard and now I can put on a record, recognise what key it is in and just solo over it. My playing before I took guitar lessons with Guitar Tuition East London was stick in a box.

GTEL is a fun and informative space to learn guitar. I signed up when I was close to quitting guitar, but from my first lesson that turned around completely. Friendly team and like-minded people to learn and jam with.

I'd been trying (and failing) on and off for eight years to learn to play the guitar before I found the school. The programme of classes (available both in person and online during the working day) is a brilliant way to structure the learning, and make it accessible to anyone with the appetite to learn. The mixed abilities' classes are fun and challenging, and everyone feels included and makes progress in every lesson. For the first time in my life I can remember and play lots of chords and it feels great!

The whole team at GTEL effuse enthusiasm and are genuinely committed  to helping students improve. While it's a class environment, the talented Darryl and Dan quickly home in on each student's needs/development areas, offering bespoke feedback and coaching. And they are consistently positive and encouraging, going the extra mile to answer questions, offer suggestions and move students from stuck to unstuck. Simply put, GTEL is a special place to learn guitar.

Guitar lessons are our daughters favourite thing to do each week, she looks forward to them more than anything else and always skips in to class.
She adores Carys who is so kind, patient and supportive of her and makes learning really fun. They learn music that our daughter enjoys listening to which really motivates her outside of class too.
The environment at the school is friendly and relaxed, nothing like the stuffy music classes I remember when I was young!

A fun and friendly place to start learning the guitar or, if you're like me, to pick it up again if you haven't played it in a while. All the staff and teachers are patient and kind and have managed to build a real community around the school. They also coped admirably in creating engaging and fun remote lessons during the COVID lockdowns. If you're looking for a new hobby to keep you occupied in 2021, I'd heartily recommend getting in touch with the school and see what they can offer you.

My son has been learning to play the guitar with Dan for about 6 months now and the progress he has made is remarkable. Dan is very patient and encouraging with the kids. Best part for me is that my son always looks forward to his lessons and is now unafraid to explore playing on his own. He also loves performing in the open mics! Am a very satisfied parent :)

Joining the school was one of the best decisions I’ve made since moving to London!
My confidence is hugely improved since joining and I’m constantly making progress with my technique and approach to practicing.
The lessons are well structured and challenging, I always look forward to going. The opportunity to jam with other students at the school is a great bonus and it definitely helps train your ear.
The teachers are really encouraging, knowledgeable, and very passionate about helping you reach your potential. The personalised feedback has played a big part in my progress and has helped

Dan and the team bring a refreshingly different approach to get anyone playing guitar from scratch and then taking you in progressive steps as far as you want to go. Learning with a group of people and then playing together makes its far more fun, engaging and actually educational, especially as most groups have a variety of different skills and instruments. You soon lose any inhibition and when you've played a whole song in your group, you'll have a wide grin on your face!

I've improved so much since joining, the team are friendly and accommodating but most importantly really know their stuff! Having the opportunity to meet and play with other students is great. The teachers tailor the lessons to the skills you want to learn long term, I can't recommend highly enough!

I enjoy my lessons, as I get to learn something new each time, as well as get the chance to focus on something I may be working on trying to grasp.
I joined the school in February last year. Before then, I only knew how to play basic chords. After about two weeks I gained better fret board knowledge enabling me to find notes on the neck much easier, which is something I struggled to grasp. The techniques taught at the school has made a huge impact on my playing. Today, my ability to explore other chord shapes on the neck of the guitar has increased, giving me more freedom to express my self when
