Services
I only offer 1 on 1 bass lessons, I don't do group lessons, my bass lessons are offered in durations of 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes or 90 minutes. I offer single bass lesson or block lesson. I only travel to zones 1-3, If you live outside this zones please ask when contacting me, please add 10 per lesson for my travel.
The hardest thing in music is to practice, I will teach you what to practice, how to practice and how to create your own practice routine. I will make sure that you're playing correctly, that you're holding your bass guitar correctly and that you know how to use both hands in the right way in order to avoid bad habits, good technique is good sound, rhythm, how to play effortlessly, how to read, write and of course how to play fast.
2- Consistency, Self discipline - create a routine, don't practice on different things every time, work on your routine and be consistence, it's a good way to warm up before you practicing new stuff, new song, solo etc. Write down what you need to practice and once you can really play it add new things to your routine.

I am a beginner with the bass; indeed with playing any musical instrument and am glad that I found Nim. He is patient and has helped guide me forward with technique and musical theory. He has opened my eyes to genres of music that I hadn't previously listened to and I have really enjoyed the lessons. They've been interesting and challenging in equal measure with a focus on building confidence to start to improvise.
I would highly and unreservedly recommend lessons with Nim.

As a self-taught bassist, I wanted to fill in my gaps after coming back after a long time away from the instrument. Nim helped me really understand the theory behind the instrument. He is patient, thorough, and lessons were always fruitful and interesting. Be prepared to put in the work if you want to really progress! Nim will do his bit, you just need to do yours.
Have fun!

We never thought our son would be able to learn bass via Zoom from another country, let alone learn to read music so fast, but Nim is the most incredible teacher. Patient, professional, so talented, and amazing with kids, our boy has learned the basics - and more - so fast and never misses his weekly lesson. Even I have started learning bass with him during his lessons! Thank you Nim!!! Most recommended for any age.

Nim is a brilliant bass tutor and has excellent knowledge not only over bass guitar techniques but also music theory. I've been having bass lessons with Nim for a little over 6 months now and have enjoyed every minute. He has a great talent for breaking down the topic at hand into simple terms and has a very pleasant and patient style of teaching. He also has a logical and methodical style of teaching which together has improved my bass playing a great deal and enabled me to analyse and hear music in way that I have never done before - Thank you Nim.

I have been a guitar player for 25 years and I wanted to give a try to learn properly to play the bass! Nim is such a great teacher, musician and human being. Every lesson is so clear and he is continuously building a learning path curated to your style and your progress. Every lesson is so much fun and it was something I was missing when I was studying guitar back in the day. We started in person but due to the corona restrictions we switched to online lessons and it is still been so great. I totally recommend him.

I have been going to Nim for lessons weekly in person and online for 3 years which speaks for itself. I was a true beginner and he has really help develop bass playing in what can only be described as poor raw material being me. I am able to play in a band now and really enjoy it. He makes the lessons interesting and is happy to find pieces of various genres that I like and also develop target techniques and skills using these songs. I feel I often torture him with my lack of talent be he is very patient and able to prescribe good exercises that work on my weak areas and bring them up. I recommend

Nim has been teaching my 11-year old daughter on the bass guitar for 9 months. Nim is professional and thorough - my daughter's technique has improved significantly, in the time he has been teaching her. Without reservation, I would recommend him to anyone seeking to learn bass or improve their technique.

I've been learning with Nim for nearly a year, playing for 17 years before that, and i've learnt a huge amount, a brilliant player and patient teacher. if you're looking to learn about jazz he's definitely one of the best resources, but he's great for other bass styles too, for beginners if you start here you won't end up with all the bad habits i had to undo. really worth your time and money, and so good at what he does!

I have been learning bass guitar with Nim for almost a year now. Nim is an excellent teacher and I fully recommend his teaching knowledge/skills. Guiding people to enjoy music, play music, and be able to express themselves through music is an incredible achievement, and Nim does it perfectly in my opinion. He is patient, attentive to the actual needs of the learner, and, very important, willing to challenge us to leave our comfort zones. So, I will continue with this adventure.
