Ganneys Meadow Nursery school continues to provide children with an excellent start to school life. The headteacher is an outstanding leader with a profound and extensive knowledge of early years development. She leads by example and is ably supported by a highly knowledgeable governing body and motivated staff.
The uniqueness of each child is respected. Staff know the likes, dislikes and needs of the children in their key groups exceptionally well. Within the local area, and beyond, the nursery has earned an enviable reputation for enabling children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities to thrive.

The name of the School, "Ganneys Meadow", originates from the names of fields in this area. In the 1920's it is recorded, in the Wirral Borough Council Archives, that the land was sold. In order to preserve the idea of meadows, flowers and green pastures each room in the building is called by the name of a flower or insect.
Ganneys Meadow Nursery School and Family Centre is a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment where everyone is greeted with a smile. Our excellent long standing reputation in the local community and beyond makes us the first choice for many families looking for a Nursery place for their 2, 3 or 4-year-old child.
Ganneys Meadow is a Wirral Local Authority Maintained Nursery School, offering places for children from across the Wirral. We offer a high quality learning environment, led by qualified teachers for our 3 and 4 year olds, and our highly experienced staff work with children from 2-4 years of age. Our school is a truly magical place for children to explore, set in extensive landscaped grounds with a meadow, woodlands, an orchard and willow dens.
I have been a teacher for many years and as well as being at Ganneys, I work in another school in Ellesmere Port as the SENCo. I have a passion for ensuring that all children develop a love for learning. I am looking forward to working with your fantastic children and meeting lots of the families. I have been working with children for just over 10 years.
Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is extra funding available for all early years providers that offer early years education for 3 and 4 year olds. It is well known that high quality early education can influence how well a child does at both primary and secondary school, so we do want to make the most of this additional funding.
