Orchard Lea
At Orchard Lea Nursery & Preschool we are passionate about helping children get off to the best start in life. We understand that you want the very best for your child and we are committed to being a place that your child loves to come to, where they are celebrated and encouraged every step of their young lives.

We do this by providing a safe, happy and stimulating environment in which your child can have fun and fulfil their full potential whilst developing self-confidence and good moral values. When you browse through our nurseries you will find that they are carefully designed to provide education, care and continuity in a bright warm and friendly environment.
Services
The Baby room accommodates babies from 3 - 18 months. Full time members of staff work in this area with the support of a lunch time helper, thus establishing a high degree of continuity of care, which we believe is particularly important with under 2's. There is a separate sleeping room, play room and fully equipped bathroom, with full use of the garden and astro-turf area of the main Nursery.
Previously there has been a nursery on site for about 10 years, which was run by another childcare provider. When we took over we started an extensive renovation & refurbishment program. This was completed in the summer of 2014 and held a successful opening day in July. The nursery continues to grow and we have renovated our garden ready for summer 2018.
It was formerly known Orchard Lea Day Nursery which changed in 2008. We enjoy an excellent reputation from existing and former parents alike. Our nursery was extensively refurbished and extended in 2011; with all childcare fully accessible on the ground floor level, disabled bathroom and new baby and toddler unit.
Children who attend at our nurseries will be able to claim funded hours, which help towards the cost of child care. Children become eligible for funding the term after their third birthday. You may have heard the terms 15 hours and 30 hours per week, these hours equate to children that attend on a Term Time Only (TTO) basis, which is only enough funding for 38 weeks of the year.
We held a world book week in nursery with lots of our children dressing up as their favourite characters from their favourite books. Kingswood also took 2 trips of children upto the local library, where they were holding a story time session. This year for Children in Need both nurseries held raffles to help raise money and awareness.

After a traumatic experience having to change my sons nursery at very short notice we are so pleased with everything the nursery has done for our son and our family already. It seems like fate played a hand in the situation we were in and he is better off.
