I first came across Hypnotherapy as a client over 15 years ago. Like many people, my discovery of the effectiveness of hypnotherapy started with a word-of-mouth recommendation through a friend. Taking that friend's advice and visiting the hypnotherapist they recommended was one of the best decisions I ever made.
Usually part of our first session will be an initial assessment, as it's important I understand from you as much information as possible about your situation and what changes you want to achieve. Whilst our present difficulties may be due to earlier life experiences, which we may not be consciously aware of, that does not mean we necessarily need to discover what those experiences are in order to resolve your issues.
Hypnotherapy can help with a wide range of issues all the way from Addiction, Anxiety, Bruxism, Blushing, Confidence, and right through to Worry and Zoophobia (yes I think there is a phobia for almost every letter of the alphabet!). Hypnosis can be a good choice for help with any issue in which you'd like to change the way to think or feel about something or somebody, including yourself.
Hypnosis is of course useful for tackling emotional problems such as anxiety, lack of confidence, low self-esteem and anger issues. But we can go further. Our mental state can also have a profound direct influence on the severity of physical conditions such as IBS, chronic cough and chronic pain.

As we acknowledge the mind-body connection and the possibility that physical conditions can be made worse by our emotional state, it opens up new approaches to managing our physical symptoms.This is where Hypnotherapy can be very helpful. I was struggling with driving and being a passenger in cars especially on motorways, I had 3 sessions with Debbie and the results are fantastic.
I am now able to journeys along motorways without panicking which is amazing.

Despite not knowing what to expect Debbie put me at ease from the first time I spoke with her. I felt she really had my interests at heart as she talked through options for treatment. I recently met with Debbie for 4x sessions of Hypnotherapy for Anxiety. Debbie has helped me so much facing my demons and everything that comes with having heightened anxiety.

I had been struggling with anxious feelings making me physically sick which was ruining my daily life. Through Debbie's techniques I was able to understand why I might be feeling like I was in certain situations and where the causes came from. I now have a bank of calming and relaxation techniques to use if I am ever to feel the same as before which makes me feel very reassured. As a fellow hypnotherapist it has struck me as odd that so very very few therapists in the UK use the full array of powerful proven clinical & analytical tools available to them. Therapist confidence in using these tools & hypnosis confidence in general is a huge factor in securing permanent changes in clients. I can report that Debbie scores very highly in these factors - I am very pleased to have found in Debbie someone with these vital skills who I feel very confident in.

Debbie helped me turn my life around when I was feeling completely hopeless. She not only helped me see the positive side of life but also taught me how to use various coping mechanisms for when even the day to day activities feel like too much. Debbie recently helped me with a health issue and the anxiety that went with it.
