Services
Albion Consultancy and Treatment opened in 2011 and is located at 24 Albion Place close to Northampton town centre in a quiet road behind the Derngate and Royal Theatres, with easily accessible parking outside the clinic and at the public theatre car park just metres away. The clinic provides a high-quality environment for therapists seeking therapy rooms to rent.
A number of rooms of varying sizes are available for practitioners to reserve for their consultations. They are finished to a high standard and offer an ideal, peaceful environment to allow the patient to feel at ease. Room Five has been equipped in order that it can be used for individual or group sessions.
Psychological assessments are often undertaken before beginning some therapies, to gain an understanding of how past and present factors contribute to people's problems. It can be therapeutic in itself to have a psychological assessment. People often feel better equipped to make changes in their lives if they can understand what 'makes them tick'.
Clinical supervision is offered to psychologists, cognitive-behavioural therapists, counsellors and psychotherapists by a variety of practitioners working from Albion Place. Where trainees require access to clients for therapeutic work this can be provided on a specific basis, depending upon the nature of clinical experience required and current availability of appropriate clients.
Individual assessment and treatment are provided to employees or organisations regarding work-related stress. The level of intervention can vary from assessment and intervention recommendations only (2 - 3 appointments), to on-going therapeutic work if required. Where on-going therapeutic work is requested and indicated, clear treatment goals are established with the individual employee or organisation.
