At Orchard Trees we believe that all children are born with infinite potential and wonder. Our role as educators is to support children's intrinsic curiosities to motivate them to learn. We are strong advocates of giving children the freedom to explore and make their own choices in an environment full of natural interests.
We let children take the lead and carve out their own path of discovery. By valuing the individuality of all, we aim to scaffold creative thinking as we undergo a journey of learning together. If you are already a happy part of the Orchard Trees family why not recommend us to a friend and you could receive 50 as our way of saying thank you.

Services
At Orchard Trees we understand how important it is for children to be confident learners and that they need freedom to explore their environment in order for these skills to develop. By taking inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach our practitioners have developed a child-centred pedagogy which allows every child to explore their own interests with their Key person learning right alongside them.
We have one based at Orchard Trees Day Nursery which collects from Wheldrake School and one based in North Duffield village which collects from both North Duffield, Bubwith and Barlby Community Primary Schools. In SKOOT we follow the same ethos as Orchard Trees and give children the freedom to follow their own interests as well as a place to relax with friends after a busy day at school.
Choosing a childcare setting is an extremely personal choice and each family has particular needs and wants from a childcare setting. Some families are suited to nurseries, some child minders and some find pre-schools are the perfect choice for them. The key to finding your perfect fit is to think about what values are most important to you and your family and find a setting that share those.

My 9yo boy loved his holiday club sessions.
Activities are planned in advance so we could cherry pick days featuring things he'd enjoy like baking or den building. Activities were flexibility delivered to suit the weather and individual children's preferences. He's asked me to plan another day to go, as if it were a treat attending!
Also really good value for money.
Highly recommended.

B (now 3) has been going to Orchard Trees since she was just a year old. Our main reason for choosing Orchard Trees was their opening hours - it is the only nursery I know of that opens as early as 07:00 and stays open as late as 18:30 - great for those of us who work shifts! In addition to this Lindsay has been incredibly flexible allowing us to vary our days from week to week depending on our rota! Orchard Trees affords us the ability to leave B (for 11.5 hours at a time) safe in the knowing that she is happy and well cared for! I would gladly recommend Orchard Trees to anyone looking for a childcare

We love Orchard Trees!!! Our son absolutely loves all the staff and they have been such a great support to us over the past year. Our son has come on leaps and bounds with his development since being here and we are really proud of how excited he is to tell us about his day when we pick him up. The food is also wonderful and he has something different everyday, allowing him to try lots of flavours and grow as a little person with tastes and experiences. We would recommend the nursery to anyone!

My son has been attending Orchard Trees for over 2 years and absolutely loves it. The staff are fantastic and really take the time to get to know the children, using their current interests in order to stimulate learning. Children are allocated a key worker who tracks and plans their development, and it is possible to arrange a meeting whenever you would like one. Each child has a learning journey book that tracks their activities; it's great to take home and read through the anecdotes to see what they have been up to. Communication is always great, the nursery uses an app which sends out messages

Lovely nursery, great staff and lots of innovative and creative activities. I love that I can see what they have been up to via the app and staff updates. I have many wonderful pictures painted brought home regularly. Both of my two young children love going and have become very sociable and confident since attending. My 3 year old can already sing the alphabet and is teaching me phonics! It is great for parents also as it has wrap around care, extended hours and optional lunches! Thankyou to all the staff that make it so special for my little boy and girl who have been coming here for 2 years
