Popped in here unplanned on a Sunday afternoon. They were full and the lovely lady still accommodated us and found us a table in the corner and brought me a big bowl of water. My human ordered the Sunday lunch beef and said the Yorkie was one of the best they’d had in a pub. The roast beef was soft and delicious - I know because I had some after being such a good boy and waiting patiently. The staff were all super friendly and I got lots of fuss and cuddles. We’re going to come back (soon I hope!) Thanks Islington Town House! Love from Henry x

A very welcoming bar serving a good variety of food at your table, either inside or out on the street terrace. Attentive staff, ordering direct at the bar or at your table. Screen showing various sports. On my visit I saw Speedway which was a nice change from the usual sports on offer. It does get busy in the evening, if you are with a large party it’s worthwhile booking in advance. If you want something light I highly recommend the sausage in a roll with fries, superb quality and price.

Spacious clean pub in a convenient location. They were kind enough to put on the Football, was a little surprised it wasn't playing on super Sunday.
Sunday roasts post lots of options and the chicken I had was quite good. The staff was friendly and the manager knew more than a thing or two about cask ales.
The upstairs was bustling, lots of people coming in and out to enjoy a boozy Sunday, but it had no real impact on the calmer downstairs environment. I was with my little one and we had a great time.
Overall a nice spot to catch as pint, a match or a meal.
